South Dakota-formed pop-alternative band Paradise Fears have defied all odds. Through their unwavering passion and dedication to making great music, they've carved out their own placement in the music landscape. Big pop choruses and rock-soaked melodies are only scratching the surface of this five-piece band, as evidenced on their new single "Who We Were With," produced by Dan Book (songwriting credits include Hot Chelle Rae's "I Like It Like That" and Big Time Rush's "Amazing"). Now, Popdust is honored to exclusively premiere the song's brand new lyric video (below).
"We wanted the lyric video to feel like a graphic trip around the world," lead singer Sam Miller says. "We've always strived toward making what we call roller coaster pop -- huge then tiny, relaxed then explosive, down, then way, way up." The track follows several EP releases, including 2008's The Secret to Dropping Out and 2010's Make Them Believe. They then released their debut LP in 2011 called Yours Truly and have toured with such artists as All Time Low and The Summer Set.
Paradise Fears—comprised of Miller (vocals), Cole Andre (guitar/vocals), Michael Walker (keys/vocals), Jordan Merrigan (guitar) and Marcus Sand (bass)—are set to head out on tour soon with Andy Grammer and The X-Factor season three champions Alex & Sierra. The Good Guys & A Girl Tour kicks off next month Feb. 24 at Seattle's Showbox at the Market and continues well into spring. Find out more info and to purchase tickets here.
