Today is P!nk's day, there's no doubt about that. Following 2014's one-off project rose ave. as one-half of You+Me (with Canadian songwriter and musician Dallas Green), the pop-rock queen is back with a new song called Today's the Day, set to be the theme song for The Ellen Show's forthcoming 13th season (launching tomorrow). The track, which she co-wrote with Greg Kurstin, (with credits on the latest albums from Years & Years, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Kelly Clarkson), was recorded back in August—you can listen to a snippet of the official version below, too.

There is still no new news on solo P!nk music, to follow 2012’s blockbuster The Truth About Love LP (which spawned massive chart hits with Blow Me (One Last Kiss), the Nate Ruess-assisted Just Give Me a Reason and the sweeping Try). Sonically, Today's the Day is most certainly an extension of her creativity, and that's the truth.

P!nk is set to perform the song this Thursday (Sept. 10) on the show, as it drops on all major digital retailers, too. Get those DVRs ready! One lucky fan captured footage of the singer belting out the fist-pumping tune during a recent show rehearsal. Check that out below:
