I've been doing Keto for the past 6 months and while I've had my ups and downs overall it's been a really good experience. I originally started the diet because I wanted to lose weight, but now I feel the increased energy and I'm much sharper at work. It was really hard at first. I even tried it last year but I couldn't make it past the keto flu. I get the "no carbs" part but I struggled with some of the fruits and vegetables (carrots, peas), and sometimes I just needed to cheat. I was very busy with work and there was no time to make all my food. Once I realized that Keto is actually a lifestyle change, things got better. I had to change what I eat and I also had to change the way I think about food. A friend of mine had lost a ton of weight on Keto and recommended I try Perfect Keto, a marketplace for clean and all natural keto products. What I found were a variety of products that helped me get to Keto goals. It was hard to narrow it down but these are my absolute favorites.
1. Exogenous Ketone Base
I would be lost without the base. If you're starting Keto for the first time, you can use this base to get you ketosis fast without getting "the keto flu". I also use it when I cheat. If I have a bowl of pasta, the next day I'll add the ketones into my coffee and feel like I never cheated. And since all the flavors taste so good (except for the bleh Vanilla) I occasionally find myself reaching for a scoop instead of a coffee when I need an extra boost of mental energy at work.
2. Keto Bars
My favorite are the keto bars, chocolate cookie dough to be exact! Made with only 3g of net carbs and no sugar, sugar alcohols, additives or fillers. You feel like you're cheating, but you're not. I sometimes have them for breakfast on my commute to work, but I always keep a box in my desk so I can have one in the afternoon when I'm craving something sweet.
3. Instant Keto Coffee
I have this every morning. The taste of the coffee itself is quite delicious, and the convenience of having MCT oil powder already mixed in makes this a perfect grab and go packet when you're rushing in the morning. I especially like the fact that there are fats in the coffee and it keeps me full, helping me make it to lunch.
4. Keto Nut Butter
Mmmmm nut butter! Guilty of eating this one out of the jar with a spoon. It's so creamy, I've used it to make fudge, smoothies, and dips for veggies. The different nuts and vanilla add an elegant flavor. Only problem - sometimes I can't stop eating this stuff.
So these are just some of my favorites, there are many others that I enjoy as well. Perfect Keto's focus is on providing clean, healthy snacks and supplements to help with the keto diet. This makes starting the keto diet a lot less daunting, and staying in ketosis a whole lot easier.
