T. Soomian Debuts Lush First Album: "Love Relief"
An "ode to the nightlife" of Los Angeles.
Los Angeles native T. Soomian launches his eight-track debut album, Love Relief, on Popdust.
Describing his music as "groovy, late '70s dad-pop porno music," Soomian blends lofi pop savors with kaleidoscopic surface colors and innovative R&B.
The album begins with "Caught A Feeling," a quasi-yacht-rock tune that draws the listener in. Other highlights include "Blvd," a song that travels on a potent EDM-pop-lite rhythm.
Next, "Tell Me" opens on tropical bluesy flavors, as Soomian's polished timbres rise above the music.
"Happy Ghost" travels on tight industrial-lite tones, eventually turning into a rhythmic dance song. "Breathe Into You" exudes slightly discordant flavors, as a psychedelic feel begins to transport the listener.
The final track,"1979," is perhaps the best on the album, featuring a dreamy vintage sound that perfectly ties up the package T. Soomian so lovingly wrapped.
Love Relief is a heavily stylized, impressive debut from an artist who clearly isn't afraid to be himself.
