Well dreams sometimes come true—that's what happened to poor Candice Swanepoel as she was strutting her stuff down the Givenchy runway yesterday during New York Fashion Week.

The South African Victoria's Secret Angel, 26, was showing off a gorgeous black dress and complemented it with a pair of unlaced boots which quite frankly, may be high fashion, but just don't make good safety sense.

Gravity got the better of the supermodel—she went tumbling down and fell pretty damn hard. She landed on her hands and knees and looked a little panicked—oh the indignity! Clumsy Candice is not an in-demand professional gal for no reason though, she was helped to her feet by a friendly chap in the front row, gave a little wave and carried on doing her thing.

The offending boots were very cute, black and fringed but I for one won't be ordering a pair from the Givenchy SS16 collection. I have enough trouble keeping my balance after a few glasses of vino as it is, without having to battle my footwear to stay upright.

Candice was left with little more than a blush and a bruise. She posted a photo on Instagram of her scraped knees captioned; "Thank you to who ever picked me up off the runway tonight. Left with little scratches, but mostly a bruised ego. #ohwell"

Calamitous Candice wasn't the only catwalking casualty that night though. Just a few steps behind her came fellow model Pooja Mor who took a tumble tackling the steps conveniently placed on the runway for the models to ~~fall down~~ negotiate.

It's almost like Givenchy were wanting their models to to topple (and grab the headlines)....obstacles and unlaced boots together with the golden rule of the runway to never ever look down, are a pile up waiting to happen!

And who knew that being front row at NYFW could be such an interactive experience? Let's hope Anna Wintour got the memo to pack her Chanel first aid kit in her purse.

As Popdust previously reported, A-listers, ranging from Jennifer Lawrence, to Hope Solo, to Vanessa Hudgens, to Amber Heard, became victims of an anonymous person (or persons) who hacked their iCloud and uploaded personal naked pics to 4Chan and Reddit.

Last week, Lawrence spoke out against the perpetrator[s], claiming their actions were tantamount to a “sex crime" … and with damn good reason.

"It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime," she told Vanity Fair. "It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting. The law needs to be changed, and we need to change."

"Just because I'm a public figure, just because I'm an actress, does not mean that I asked for this," she continued. "It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It's my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting. I can't believe that we even live in that kind of world."
