Bruce Jenner is only just in the process of becoming a woman and would you believe he's landed his first magazine cover already!

It's been revealed that the former Olympian's first photoshoot in his female persona will be for Vanity Fair—rumors are that none other than Annie Leibovitz will shoot the pics.

The pictorial is expected to hit the newsstands this summer and follows on from the co-ordinated but gradual exposure of Bruce's transition. It started with his interview with Diane Sawyer, moved onto the Keeping Up With the Kardashians: About Bruce special and is culminating in an eight part docu-series premiering in July on E! chronicling his new life as a woman.

Bruce has posed for his fair share of magazine covers over the years, including Sports Illustrated and GQ.  Leibovitz's talent is legendary and she has photographed the world's biggest celebrities over her 40 year career, including Queen Elizabeth, Michael Jackson and George Clooney.

This cover though, certainly marks a new experience for both of them!

Following on from Bruce Jenner's hugely successful interview with Diane Sawyer, E! has announced a new reality TV series, to air this summer, documenting the 65-year-old's continuing transition.

However, according to TMZ, renown publicity whore Jenner's concerned stepdaughter, Kim Kardashian, along with his sons Burt, Brandon and Brody Jenner don't want him to do the show!

They are apparently warning the former Olympian to slow down on revealing too much of his journey via reality TV (yep, that's an irony klaxon you can hear chiming).

The consensus is that a docu-series could derail and "declass" the positive progress Jenner's accomplished so far. According to TMZ, the kids have also urged Bruce not to do any other interviews, and to finish the rest of his gender transition in private.

Kim Kardashian? Advising against a reality show? Urging privacy? Seriously? Has hell frozen over?!!

All we can presume is that KK hasn't got any kind of producer credit on the show and therefore there won't be any $$ in it for her. The Kardashian Klan has literally sold their entire lives to the Gods of reality and good luck to them if that's what they want. But to start advising Bruce to dial it down now is completely disingenuous.

Thankfully however, Bruce's mind is already made up.

According to TMZ, Jenner believes the show will help educate millions of people about what it means to transition and judging by the outpouring of support on social media following Friday's ABC20/20 sit down, this is a story that people are connecting with and want to hear more of.

It’s official folks—Bruce Jenner is transgender and in the process of transitioning into a woman.

After years of rumor and speculation, Jenner finally came out as trans during a candid, honest and heartbreaking two hour interview with Diane Sawyer tonight on ABC.

“I identify as a woman, but it is very hard to say that, because I don’t want to disappoint people,” the 65-year-old father-of-six admitted to Sawyer at the start of the interview.

Jenner shared the story of the emotional roller coaster that has been his life, back from when he was “8 or 9-years old” and wanted to put a dress on.

Bruce admitted he used to sneak into his mom’s wardrobe when the rest of his family was out of the house, and dress up in her frocks.

“I marked my mom’s closet, so I could put [dresses] back in the exact same place, so I wouldn’t get caught,” Jenner shared. “I didn’t know why I wanted to do it, just that it made me feel good.”

When asked how he viewed himself [Jenner requested use of the male pronoun throughout the interview] as a muscle bound athlete back in 1976, accepting the gold medal at the Olympics in Quebec, Jenner was brutally honest—giving insight into the struggle he has dealt with his whole life.

“I see a confused person, running away, running away from who I was,” he said. “Scared to death.. I didn’t know what my life was at that time.”

Later, Jenner talked about his childhood, explaining that for him, growing up in a blue collar, conservative and traditional, working class family in Mt. Kiosco, New York, meant he was never able to be open about his gender confusion.

“I was a very lonely little boy,” he admitted. “I’m still a very lonely big boy…. I don’t socialize a lot, I never fit in. When you deal with this issue, you don’t fit in… I like to play golf, but I don’t fit in. I look at guys, and they’re happy with themselves. I look at women and I think how lucky they are they can fit in, but with me, I’m stuck in the middle, where can i go?”

Not surprisingly, Jenner confessed that he over compensated for his inner confusion by going out of his way to be as “manly” as possible…building up his body and becoming a world class athlete.

“There was a lot of determination,” he said. “A lot of determination in what I was going to do. I was blocking everything out.”

And, he did a seemingly good job for several years, having two children with his first wife, Christie Crownover, and winning an Olympic gold medal—but, Bruce said, things started falling apart shortly after the post-Olympics shine started to fade.

“I felt so sad,” Bruce admitted. “Not only was that part of my life over… but so many other issues in my life were still there, what do I do now?”

Jenner shared that he split from Christie because he was “restless in the marriage”, and he went on to marry second wife, Linda Thompson, with whom he had two sons, Brandon and Brody.

But, their marriage fell apart after just three years, something Jenner blames on his “gender issues.”

At that time, Bruce was in his late 40s and it was then that he decided to transition into a woman. Jenner said he spent the next five years on hormone treatments, and even sprouted breasts that were “a good solid 36B.”

But, then he met Kris Kardashian.

Jenner admitted to playing down the level of his gender confusion, telling the Kardashian matriarch that he liked to cross dress, but not the full extent of his issues.

However, despite his best attempts, Jenner admitted he could only carry on the charade for so long.

“Kris and I had all these great memories together,” he said. “We raised all these kids, we did phenomenal. But, you can only fake it for so many years……you can only hold it together for so many years.”

Jenner went on to discuss the irony of living a giant lie all whilst starring on a hugely successful “reality TV” show.

“I had the story,” he said. “We did 425 episodes over almost 8 years now…the entire run I kept thinking to myself, oh my god, the one real true story, I kept hiding, the one thing that could make a difference to people’s lives was here in my soul and I couldn’t tell it.”

Eventually the facade became too much to maintain.

“I couldn’t take the walls closing in on me,” Jenner confessed. ‘I thought, if I die—if I’m diagnosed with cancer… I would be so mad that I didn’t explore [the female] side of me…I’d be so mad I didn’t let that happen.”

He went on to share that as media speculation grew that he was transitioning into a woman he actually contemplated suicide.

“I thought, ugh, its over,” he said. “I was walking up and down my hall all night long, heart pounding…. I thought ‘wouldn’t the easiest thing right now be, to go get a gun, go to a better place'… then, I thought, 'I couldn’t do that, I need to know how this story ends.'”

So, Jenner chose life over death, but, he admitted, the toughest part was yet to come—telling his children.

“[My kids are] the ones I’m concerned with and I can’t let myself hurt them,” he said. “[I thought] 'how do I do this and not hurt my children?' I tried to explain to them, as much your upbringing was, the 'he' side is becoming 'her', but I’m still here. I’m not going anywhere.”

Jenner said that the first of the children who found out was Kim—after she caught him in a dress—sharing that after she saw him, “she said nothing, she jumped in a car, and we never talked about it again, it was a secret.”

Jenner went on to admit that shortly after he was discovered by daughters Kendall and Kylie, when they discovered footage on their computers of their dad dolled up in their dresses—but once again, it was kept secret and nobody talked about the situation.

However, a few months ago, Jenner gathered the family together and told them everything—he explained, “I told them that I had made a decision… to do something I wanted to do before they were even born." Bruce went on to share, “they all cried, mainly because they didn’t want anyone to hurt dad.”

Surprisingly, Jenner claims that Khoe was the one who took the news hardest.

“You would think she’s the most open minded, but she’s had the most problems,” Jenner said. “She’s had a lot of losses in her life, her dad died from cancer, then she had the loss of her marriage to Lamar…. she feels like there’s this massive….my whole life is falling apart…he’s my dad.

“I feel like I can’t argue with that, but, I’m not going anywhere.”

Then, came the biggest shock revelation of the night—that Kanye West was the one who really turned things around for Bruce.

“Kim told me a story,” Bruce said. “And she said, ‘you know what really turned me around about thinking of all of this… Kanye… Kanye said, I can be married to most beautiful woman in the world, and I am.. I can have the most beautiful daughter, and I do… but I’m nothing if I’m not me…’ since then, Kim has been the most accepting.”

Praise be Yeezus!

OK, back on a serious note—Bruce concluded that he hopes going public with his story and his struggles can ultimately help others in a similar situation.

“I would like to work with this community to get this message out,” Jenner said. “I am not a spokesperson, but, I would like to help get this message out. There are so many suicides, so many murders, I would like to think we can save some lives here.”

Amen to that Bruce Jenner… amen to that.

And, despite being a self-confessed Republican, we truly applaud your honesty and your awe-inspiring bravery.

ABC has released another promo video for their much anticipated Diane Sawyer exclusive interview with Bruce Jenner, which airs Friday.

In the short clip, which follows last week's teaser, a long haired Bruce is seen sitting in the studio with Sawyer, in addition to walking through the snow together, and talking in a garden—you can watch the video right here on Popdust.

A dramatic voice-over starts with, “Tomorrow at 9/8 central on ABC, finally, Bruce Jenner…”

“It’s going to be an emotional roller coaster but somehow I’m going to get through it,” the 65-year-old vows.

Cut to Jenner’s family posing for photos, as Bruce admits, “they are the only ones I am concerned with..I can’t let myself hurt them..”

“And, the journey, the decisions, the future..” the voice-over teases, as Bruce tells Sawyer, “I want to know how this story ends…you know… how does my story end?”

Now, THAT is the million dollar question Bruce…. hopefully we will all have a better idea after tomorrow.

Tune into ABC at 9/8c Friday night to watch Diane Sawyer’s two hour interview with Bruce Jenner.

ABC News has released a trailer of the much anticipated sit-down interview between Bruce Jenner and Diane Sawyer.

"My whole life has been getting me ready for this," Bruce, 65, tells Sawyer in the clip.

Meanwhile, as Jenner continues with his gender transition, he is said to be distancing himself from the Kardashian Klan.

US Weekly reports that he is limiting his interactions with the family.  A source claims;

Besides Khloe, the Kardashians were not on board with his [male-to-female] transition.

His boys, Brody and Brandon stuck by him, but Bruce feels like Kris and her girls only support him publicly to make themselves look good.

Well you don't exactly need female intuition to work that out!

Seriously though, Jenner deserves (another) gold medal for the bravery that it must take to go through this in THAT family and in such a public way.

Bruce Jenner: The Interview airs Friday April 24 on ABC.

Bruce Jenner will present himself as a woman for the first time in public during his upcoming interview with Diane Sawyer.

As Popdust previously reported, the 65-year-old former Olympian is currently in the process of transitioning from male to female, and will be sitting down with Sawyer to talk about his mental state and journey in a two hour special, set to air on ABC on April 24.

According to TMZ, Jenner is using the opportunity to bid “a farewell to Bruce”—and, although he won’t be dressing as a woman, or revealing his new gender appropriate name, he reportedly sees the interview “as the most significant event associated with his sex change—more significant than the surgical procedures that will get him there.”

Bruce has purportedly already undergone a laryngeal shave procedure to flatten down his Adam’s apple, in addition to a nose job and breast implants.

During the Sawyer interview, Bruce will apparently talk about his life from age five, when he first started identifying as female; the struggle he’s undergone living as a man; and the impact his decision to undergo gender reassignment has had on his family.

Jenner has been the subject of much public ridicule, and hopes the interview will help educate the public, and assist others in the same position.
