Award show season is back and better than ever! The stars in Hollywood hit the red carpet Wednesday night for the 2015 People’s Choice Awards.

All the hottest celebs in movies, television, and music gathered together to honor the latest and greatest actors and musicians picked by YOU! And, what’s an award show without a few show stopping trends, right?

Well, judging by last night’s red carpet, 2015 is gearing up to be the year of the jumpsuit. Onesies ruled the night—with Portia de Rossi killing it in a royal blue cutout jumpsuit by Zuhair Murad. Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo also hopped on the jumpsuit train with a super-chic beige lace number by Ellie Saab. Con Air actress Monica Potter rocked an elegant and simple black Diane von Furstenberg halter neck jumpsuit; while, Kaley Cuoco put an original twist on the trend with a flared leg, black and white cut out crop leg version.

It wouldn’t be a night in Hollywood though without a few sparkles. Rightfully so, sequined dresses have remained an award show staple. Hollywood IT girl and star of Modern Family, Sarah Hyland, looked adorable in a silver sequined strapless dress by Christian Siriano. The show’s host, Allison Janney, was one hot mama in a plunging silver sequined Rani Zakhem gown.

Kat Dennings sported a gorgeous black lace gown by Ludmila Corlateanu. Paired with strappy heels, the starlet looked super gothic chic.

Katherine McPhee kept it simple, yet sexy in a black and white cut out Balmain number. Keeping with the black theme, Bella Thorne looked ready for business in a slim-fitting Armani suit. Amy Adams was also keeping it short and sweet, looking stunning in a blue strapless Gucci shift.

Beg For It songstress Iggy Azalea combined two trends of the night in one. She wore a gorgeous black embroidered crop top and wide leg pants. She said it best herself—she’s so fancy.

Meanwhile, both Gabrielle Union and Viola Davis were pretty in pink—the Being Mary Jane star looked drop dead gorgeous in a raspberry colored Honor gown with a deep V-neck. The color popped against her skin and had every man at home wishing he was Dwayne Wade— while the How to get Away with Murder actress kept it classy in a classic soft pink Escada gown.

Last, but most certainly not least, Giuliana Rancic wore a T-length mint green dress by Tony Ward. The retro style looked perfect on the hostess with the mostess.

Award season is just getting started, folks!

Take a look through Popdust's pick of the best red carpet looks from last night—and, stay tuned for more fashion favorites from the Golden Globe Awards this Sunday!

Monica Potter straight up called Iggy Azalea "Iggy Australia" at the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday night, and fans are not happy.

As Popdust previously reported, this was the name (among many others) Azealia Banks used to describe Iggy, who she accused of appropriating and mocking black culture. The pair got into an increasingly ugly battle about it online, and now it looks as if the whole thing is going to start all over again.

Iggy beat out Nicki Minaj, Drake, Jay Z and even T.I. for Favorite Hip Hop artist, and when Dax Shephard and Monica introduced her on stage, the actress rattled off a list of her favorite rappers including "Dr. Drew" and "Igloo Australia."

Ok, so she was obviously trying to be funny, but after all the shit that went down you'd think she would have more sense. Not cool!

The people have spoken (after tirelessly voting their fingers off): we now have the full list of nominees for the 2015 People's Choice Awards. Celebrating the most dazzling in TV, film, music and more, the show brings together every medium under the spotlight for one night only, on Jan. 7. With a whopping 70 million votes cast, the official ballot of declared by hosts and Mom stars Anna Faris and Allison Janney, live from LA's Paley Center for Media. Red Band Society’s Dave AnnableSelfie’s John ChoStalker’s Dylan McDermottScorpion’s Katharine McPheeA to Z’s Cristin MiliotiJane the Virgin’s Gina RodriguezScandal’s Bellamy Young, and People’s Choice Awards Executive Producer Mark Burnett were also on hand to reveal select categories.

In the musical race, newcomer Sam Smith breaks the mold with four nominations, including "Breakout Artist" and "Favorite Song" for his stirring "Stay With Me," the lead-in to his debut record In The Lonely Hour. In the latter category, he faces off against Taylor Swift ("Shake It Off"), Meghan Trainor (“All About That Bass”), Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj (“Bang Bang”) and Maroon 5 (“Maps”).

Voting for this final round is now open and closes Thursday, Dec. 4.

By Leah Ornstein,

From Jennifer Hudson and Britney Spears to Sandra Bullock and Jessica Alba, Hollywood's hottest actors, musicians and reality stars got all dolled up and hit the red carpet of the 2014 People's Choice Awards Wednesday night, but not everyone was dressed to impress.

Find out who were the fashion winners and sinners of the night on Popdust—we will be critiquing all the stars as and when they appear, so keep checking back for updates.

If Wednesday's People's Choice Awards are any indication of fashion trends for the upcoming 2014 red carpet season, simple silhouettes and neutrals will rule the night.

Celebs shined in incredibly sleek and sexy designs that showed of their enviable curves.

Jessica Alba wowed in a skin tight, strapless white Jason Wu creation, while Nina Dobrev was chic as ever in a long sleeve black sequined sheath.

Jennifer Hudson turned heads in a long sleeved white number that was paired with simple heels and her fabulous pixie hair cut.

Other celebs such as Anna Faris and Britney Spears also joined in on the neutral palette party. Both blonde bombshells rocked shades of tan with sequins accents.

It was a white hot night (literally) where today's stars showed us that less is certainly more.

Sara Bareilles is expected to make a splash onstage with her hit "Brave," as well was country crooner Brad Paisley (with his current single "The Mona Lisa") and OneRepublic. Many of the past year's biggest TV shows, movies, singers and actors/actresses will duke it out for your votes tonight.

Britney Spears, Drew Barrymore, Zac Efron, Sean Hayes, Queen Latifah, Melissa McCarthy, Shemar Moore, Norman Reedus, Justin Timberlake, Sandra Bullock, Christina Aguilera, Bones star Emily Deschanel are just a handful of the stars expected to show.

Check out the winners list at the bottom (which will be updated as the night wanes on). Check back often for the latest buzz!

And the live blog starts now...

[9:00-05] And we have lift off!

Our lovely hosts Kat and Beth intro us in their Broke garb. "I prefer to think of this as my Golden Globes," quips Kat.

We are dished out with a lengthy skit with some pretty hilarious guest appearances. Kaley Cuoco is a personal fave here. Um, and Chrstina Aguilera (bow down, bitches!) makes a grand entrance with her signature out-of-this-world runs...because duh.

[9:07] Maggie Smith tramp stamp joke. Is there really need to go on? Best joke in the opening, hands down.

700 million votes have been cast!

[9:10] Brad Paisley has some "flies" he ordered that he still hasn't gotten, Beth.

Heidi Klum likes burgers...but Beth is currently "servicing" Brad. Oops.

[9:11] Sean Hayes (OMG! IT'S JACK) presents the award for Favorite Movie Actress...Sandra Bullock for her role in Gravity. She also takes the trophy home for Favorite Comedic Acrtress.

[9:12] "There's a lot of Friday nights I'm home by myself," says Sandra. Oh, aren't we all?

[9:15] Jessica Alba (gorgeousssss) presents Favorite Album...Justin Timberlake for The 20/20 Experience! Um. YES. Bonus, how handsome is he in that suit?

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x19ercg_sara-bareilles-brave-peoples-choice-2014_music

[9:30] BOW DOWN TO EVERYTHING THAT IS SARA BAREILLES. Seriously. "Brave" is the best pop song of 2013. This orchestral version is genius.

[9:36]  The Voice confessionals from Blake Shelton, Xtina, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and the show's host

Blake and Adam have NEVER date, for the record, but they have hooked up a few times.

Cee Lo lives with Carson, thinks he's hot. They're ready for a reality TV show. Yea. I'd watch that.

The Voice was voted Favorite Competition TV Show!

This is his fourth consecutive win in this category!

He proceeds to read a fan letter. "You do movies by far the goodest for me," the "fan" writes. As it runs out, the fan is Drew. (She's just getting pummeled tonight.)

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x19ess3_brad-paisley-mona-lisa-peoples-choice-2014_music

[10:01] Bring on the second hour!

Beth sings a line from The Sound of Music. Um. CARRIE UNDERWOOD (or something) reference! Then blasts a snippet of "Wrecking Ball." She just wrecked me...

Oh, and then she blasts into "Before He Cheats." Yup. Carrie might not be there, but she's everywhere.

"Baby, Got Back" was Beth promo theme. Wasn't it everyone's? BOOM.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x19esvb_beth-kat-twitter-song-requests-for-beth-peoples-choice-2014_fun

[10:04] Shemar Moore helps continue the twerking joke legacy...and...the sexual tension with Malin Akerman right now! I NEED WATER!

"Once you go black..."

He helps present Favorite Onscreen Chemistry...Ian Somehalder and Nina Dobrev. And Glee shippers weep.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x19et4h_favorite-on-screen-chemistry-peoples-choice-2014_people

[10:10] Heidi Klum hands out the award for Favorite Pop Artist...Britney Spears. That Las Vegas magic is working!

“Thanks for always drawing abs on me when you draw me naked," he tells his fans. Heh.

[10:23] Allison Williams and Norman Reedus (AHHHH!) kills it and presents Favorite Action Movie Star...Robert Downey Junior!

Iron Man 3 sweeps Favorite Action Movie and Favorite Movie. (Side note: I hate action movies...usually.)

[10:26] Lucy Hale and Joseph Morgan intro OneRepublic for a performance of their smash hit "Counting Stars."

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x19etc9_one-republic-counting-stars-peoples-choice-2014_music

[10:30] Ryan Tedder is one hunky frontman. He knows how to bring the heat and break the air conditioning. POW.

[10:31] Mmmmm. I want a Wendy's Frosty. Anyone else?

[10:36] Stephen Colbert special video message! He's with us in spirit. "Being a person, choosing things and winning things" are his favorite things.

"Which one of One Direction is cutest?" (Zayn, obvi.)

Steven is also the winner of Favorite Late Night Talk Show Host.

[10:38] Wayne Brady walks out with a cute little bow tie. Aw! He invites LL Cool J back out to the stage to into Jennifer Hudson.

[10:39] LL describes Jennifer as an "angel. "She turned a family tragedy" into something special...and the Julian King foundation. She's the Favorite Humanitarian.

So many feels. I remember her stunning Grammys performance in 2009. Now, she's taken that devastating event (the murder of her family in October 2008) into an inspiring, compassionate cause.

"There's healing in each and every smile," J-Hud says in a pre-taped segment. Powerful.

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x19ezv1_the-humanitarian-award-jennifer-hudson-peoples-choice-2014_people

[10:42] With tears streaming down her face and her older sister Julia in tow, Jennifer gives such a sincerely touching speech. Seriously, if you aren't crying, you are cold. "It's very important to make a difference," she adds. TEARS.

"It also feels good to see positivity acknowledged," she asserts. She dedicates the tribute to her mother and brother, who would barbecue for the whole neighborhood.

[10:49]  Emily Deschanel and Michael Weatheringly who both "fight crime, drink wine and look so fine." They hand out Favorite Actress in a New TV Series...Sarah Michelle Gellar. Her first PCA...really??? None for Buffy? What is this world?

[10:51] Speaking of which, SHE GIVES A SHOUT OUT TO BUFFY! Yes, that freaking show defined my high school years in oh-so-many-ways. That musical episode "Once More With Feeling"? Yup. I listen to that **** on repeat these days. BAM.

[10:55] Matt LeBlanc (or forever immortalized as Joey) struts his stuff out onto the stage...to overwhelming applause. They are running out of time so he can't perform his next single...some country-hip-hop jam.

He gives out Favorite Network TV Comedy...The Big Bang Theory.

This is the show's third win. The illustrious cast, including Jim Parson, takes the stage to accept the trophy.

[10:59] And...that's a wrap! (Boy, did that just fly by or what?)
