At this stage in her career, there really isn't a magazine cover that Kim Kardashian hasn't graced.
Vogue, Paper, Playboy, GQ, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, W, V, Redbook, Complex, Glamour, Us Weekly, New York, King, Self--with the exception of Rolling Stone and Today's Golfer, she's done it all.
Now Kim K has another one to add to her arsenal thanks to business-y advertising publication Adweek, who have selected the social media star to grace their mobile issue.
The feature is mostly for Kim to talk about the success of her mobile gaming app, Kim Kardashian: Hollywood, which Adweek claims grossed $74 million last year and is on track to make a whopping $200 million this year.
"I got a call from the company Glu Mobile to partner up and do a video game," revealed Kim. "I asked my husband [Kanye West], "What do you think of this? What would the concept be?" And he was like, "Oh my God, you have to do a video game? It's so cool."
She continued, "So, we went back and we came up with this really cute concept that I thought was relatable and very much like me. It had to be something that fit my personality."
Uh, to be fair, the game had already been around for a while as Stardom: The A-List, and all Glu did was repackage it as Kim Kardashian: Hollywood with Kim pasted in to give meaningless bubbles of advice to the main character. But whatever. As we've all learned from Beyonce's dubious songwriting credits in the past, celebrities love to take credit for anything and everything they possibly can, regardless of whether or not they actually did the work.
"I don't know if I expected it to do this well," Kim admits. "I'm really thankful that it has because I've put a lot of hard work into it and spent a lot of time on it. It's how I think of my show—someone can always relate. People always want to get their mind off of things and have something fun to do because their lives are so hectic. It's a fun game that you can really get addicted to and just lose yourself in for a couple of hours."
If you're one of the millions of people addicted to Glu Mobile Kim's game, then you'll be pleased to know that Mrs. Kardashian-West has plans to keep it going by adding more family members and more content inspired by her real life.
