The UK Bans Spanking, Strangulation And Squirting From Porn, But Why?

Pornography serves so many purposes......sigh....

Sure, it can help get you off, but it also provides those at home access to sights, scenes and situations most of us will never stumble upon in waking life (well not on a regular Saturday night anyway).

Taiwanese NGO Gives Disabled Men Hand Jobs

I mean, where exactly am I going to see an overweight dwarf pleasuring herself in the shower while sucking on some playboy’s member? I deserve to see Gidget in action (yes, she really exists, and she really is quite the aberration), and I would resent any person, state or organization that tried to take any of that away from me.

That being said, it’s probably a very good thing that I don’t live in the UK.

The Vag Selfie—Definitive Guide To Securing The Sexiest Snatch Shots

Last week, the European state backed the online porn community into a corner by placing strict limitations on what can be shown. Regulations now require that online porn adhere to the same guidelines laid out for DVD sex-shop-type porn by the scary sounding British Board of Film Censors (BBFC).

The following acts are now banned from British porn:

-       Spanking

-       Caning

-       Aggressive whipping

-       Penetration by any object “associated with violence”

-       Physical or verbal abuse (regardless of if it is consensual)

-       Urolagnia (known as “water sports”)

-       Role-playing as non-adults

-       Physical restraint

-       Humiliation

-       Female ejaculation

-       Strangulation

-       Facesitting

-       Fisting

The final three listed fall under acts the BBFC views as potentially “life-endangering” – yeah, cos people die from facesitting every day.

Though the move (thankfully) can’t stop people from watching whatever genre of porn they’re into, it does however impose severe restrictions on the content created in the UK.

Air Force Officer Claims Lizard Aliens Abducted And Made Her Their Moon Sex Toy

If you’ve reviewed the list, you’ve probably noticed certain acts that seem out of place. Female ejaculation? Who can that possibly harm? And why should something so closely associated with the female orgasm be considered “unacceptable”?

Itziar Bilbao Urrutia, also known as "Ms. Tytania" is a professional dominatrix who also produces femdom porn, told Vice, “The new legislation is absurd and surreal. I mean, why ban facesitting? What’s so dangerous about it? It’s a harmless activity that most femdom performers, myself included, do fully dressed anyway. Its power is symbolic: woman on top, unattainable.”

Miley Cyrus’ Interview Mag Photos Are Basically Flat-Out Porn (And NSFW DUH!)

Government sources insist that the BBFC’s R18 certificate is a “tried and tested” method for protecting children. A spokesperson told The Independent, “The legislation provides the same level of protection to the online world that exists on the high street in relation to the sale of physical DVDs.”

But is “protection” the right word to use here? I mean, how does banning acts associated with female pleasure help “protect” anyone? Porn is, after all, and always has been, a male dominated business. And it’s true, in a lot of cases, women are objectified. They serve as extensions of a male ideal, and there’s a risk that image will be replicated in reality. But stripping away counter images thereof hardly seems like an effective means of combating this trend.

Bizarre World Of Dogging—Like Swinging On Steroids, Outdoors And Masked

As award-winning feminist porn producer Erika Lust writes, “We need to rethink what is offensive or dangerous and what is, in fact, normal human nature, and remember that it’s more important to educate than regulate."
