Well, Tyrant, episode 4, where do we start?

It’s the 20th anniversary of the chemical attacks on the city of Maan ordered by Jamal and Bassam’s father. After a man sets himself on fire in the square, protests and demonstrations begin which immediately piss off Jamal and his advisers. General Tariq wants to go in and “arrest” all the protestors for unlawful gathering, as if there’s any kind of lawful gathering allowed in Abbudin.

Bassam convinces Jamal to instead go to the square and make a statement apologizing for his father’s decision to launch a chemical attack on Maan. Jamal agrees, but before he can get to the square, that douchebag Ihab Rashid starts stirring up the crowd. Turns out his mother was killed in the chemical attacks, and his father was badly injured then exiled. By the time Jamal and Bassam get there, the crowd starts attacking the car and they are forced to speed off. Jamal and Tariq decide that they should use force to break up the protests.

Bassam goes down to the square to warn Fauzi and his daughter that Tariq is taking Storm Troupers into the square the next morning. Yeah, like they didn’t see that coming. Fauzi tells him that he stands by his daughter because she only wants the right to have a say in her future, and he is staying with her no matter what. Bassam goes back to Jamal and tells him that if he doesn’t want to end up like all the other ruthless dictators of the past then he needs to listen to his people. Then he convinces him to have a sit down with Ihab Rashid. Dun, dun, duuuuuuuun.

In other news, Jamal’s son Ahmed is a fat pretentious prick. He asks Sammy and Emma to go with him and his wife to a dance club, and they go just to appease him. When they get to the club, Sammy sees Abdul there and asks why he hasn’t returned any of his calls. “You blow me and then blow me off??” Best quote of the night. Abdul later confesses that he doesn’t want to lose his position as Ahmed’s best friend and that the only reason he hooked up with Sammy is because he thought he was going back to America. Well that sucks.

What else? Oh, Jamal’s dick is still so shredded that even lesbian porn can’t fix it. Is Jamal’s broken dick becoming a metaphor for his broken country? Nah, probably not.
