The 19-year-old indie-pop singer UPSAHL is riding a wave of success this year after graduating high school, signing with Arista Records, and releasing her new single "The Other Team." With classical training in piano, guitar, and choir, the singer received acclaim from the pop community with the release of "Can You Hear Me Now," followed by "Kiss Me Now" and "Rough."

UPSAHL's "The Other Team" recounts the pangs of unrequited love and missed connections but with a catchy, upbeat melody. She says, "I wrote 'The Other Team' on the last day of a month-long writing trip. A few minutes into the session, the concept just sort of came to me, 'Everyone can relate to being into someone that they know they can't have'."

The single's combination of indie spirit and pop energy teases UPSAHL's full EP, due for release in 2019.
