Partying with musicians may not be all it's cracked up to be. Yes, Sad Drake lives on in the new video "Marvin's Room," but at least this time there are cocktails to distract us? Because drunk dials haunt us all, there have been plenty of covers of the revealing track—from JoJo to Teyana Taylor and now, Chris Brown—but here we see Drizzy's own vulnerability and loneliness come to life. Drake drinks by himself at a crowded bar, pounding beers and short glasses of the brown stuff before shamelessly hitting on random girls, all in attempts to forget about that one lady, who is still in his head as much as she's in his heart. (Clearly he hasn't forgotten her phone number.) After nameless bottles and nameless strangers, Drake gives himself a long, hard look in the mirror before heading out into the Toronto night, with slow-motion conveying the difficult and tipsy trip ahead. Cutting the video down from the song's original six-minute length keeps us from seeing anything really embarrassing that may follow (and we thank him for that), while the muted colors, fuzzy lighting and quick cuts give the viewer a slightly altered feeling ourselves, putting us inside what is likely Drake's pounding head.
