The show goes on, indeed. In the ongoing campaign to make Lupe Fiasco's second Lasers single, "Words I Never Said," a Thing (or, we guess, to give Lupe's political thoughts a bigger soapbox, but let's not hedge on what this is really about), if you turn on the TV, all you'll see is a bunch of Lupe Fiasco. On Monday came an appearance on The Colbert Report, not a surprise considering Lupe's verse starts out with "I really think the War on Terror is a bunch of bullshit." If you missed the performance, it's online, with Skylar Grey doing her best sugared-down Amy Lee as she backs up Lupe's pontificating.

And at the 2011 MTV Movie Awards on June 5, Lupe will hit the stage with Trey Songz to perform collaboration "Out Of My Head," as well as prior Modest Mouse-sampling single "The Show Goes On." What, no "Words I Never Said"? Granted, the list of nominated films -- Black Swan, Eclipse, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, The Social Network and Inception -- is fairly (and unsurprisingly) apolitical. And it isn't as if Skylar Grey doesn't have umpteen other singles she could perform if she so chose.
