Well, we told you Shailene Woodley would anger Twihards with her comments about the franchise and we weren't wrong!

Emma Clark, the infamous Twilight fan Robert Pattinson once said he was "desperate to meet", is responding to Shailene's assertions that the love story in Twilight is "toxic" and "unhealthy".

As Popdust previously reported, like Jennifer Lawrence and Kristen Stewart before her, Woodley is playing the lead role in a series of films adapted from young adult novels (Divergent).

While Shailene asked Jennifer’s advice before taking on the role, we’re guessing there were no friendly chats with Kristen, based on the following comments:

“Twilight, I’m sorry, is about a very unhealthy, toxic relationship,” Shailene says. “She falls in love with this guy and the second he leaves her, her life is over and she’s going to kill herself! What message are we sending to young people? That is not going to help this world evolve.”

Clark—who goes by the Twitter name "nuttymadam" —says she loves Divergent and plans on meeting the cast in London—but, sure enough, the British superfan lays into Shailene, accusing her of being a hypocrite and not understanding 'fandom'.

She also says a bunch of other stuff using language we couldn't possibly repeat.
