Did you know that Wiz Khalifa made $11 million last year, ranking him 11th among rappers? Pretty good for a guy largely unknown before 2011, and who a lot of people still probably only know for one song. Still, that's not nearly good enough for the Pittsburgh rapper, who has eyes on much bigger fortunes. Talking with Zack O'Malley Greenburg of Forbes Magazine, Wiz shared his financial projections for the year 2012: “Oh yeah, man, I’m going to make $100 million this year...No doubt, $100 million. The new mixtape [will] get everybody ready and get their wallets open.”

Hundred million, huh? That's a lot of zeroes—eight of them, with a one in front, to be exact—and Wiz has his work cut out for him if he wants to reach that goal. Greenburg writes in a blog entry that only one rapper has earned nine digits in a calendar year, when 50 Cent made $100 mil (largely from selling his share in Vitamin Water) in 2008, and also says that only four rappers have even made that much over a five-year span—genre heavy-hitters like 50, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Diddy. Not even global, all-ages pop icons like Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift make $100 million in a year, says Greenburg.

Good for Wiz for shooting for the stars, though. Who ever says that smoking pot stunts your ambition?
