Victoria Justice's new series Eye Candy recently premiered to dismal ratings, but the same can't be said for fellow teen idol Zendaya.

The 18-year-old's new Disney Channel comedy series K.C. Undercover opened with 3.5 million viewers, making it the top cable TV telecast of the year among major youth demographics.

K.C. Undercover crushed Nickelodeon's new series Bell and the Bulldogs --which premiered the previous night-- by 13% in kids 2-11 (1.7 million vs. 1.5 million), 17% in kids 6-11 (1.4 million vs. 1.2 million) and 48% in tweens (1.4 million vs. 949,000).

Besides having a hit show on her hands, Zendaya is currently hard at work on her second solo album. She's already collaborated with Nick Jonas and her Replay producer Paul Shelton, and has said that her sophomore effort will receive a better promotional push than her debut did.

It looks like 2015 is going to be Zendaya's year!
