For more than 50 years, Kool & The Gang has been one of America’s most popular bands. Hits like “Celebration,” “Jungle Boogie,” and “Get Down on It” are fixtures at parties, cookouts, and sports stadiums.
While the band has experienced several lineup changes, one constant has been bassist and founding member Robert “Kool” Bell. After all, he’s the Kool in Kool & The Gang. The early soul years, the breakout in the late ‘70s, their huge ’80s hits—he’s been there for everything.
