The NFL Playoffs Are Here!

Everyone get your popcorn ready because this is about to be a good one! While the Eagles and Chiefs earned their first round bye, the rest of the action kicks off this Saturday, January 14th. The first game is an NFC matchup between division rivals Seahawks and 49ers. San Francisco managed to win both their regular season meetings, but will QB rookie sensation Brock Purdy be able to perform under the big lights? The second Saturday game is sure to be a thriller. Chargers QB Justin Herbert is set to make his first playoff appearance against a dangerous Jaguars squad who have won six out of their last seven..

That brings us to Sunday, and oh boy will there be some hearts broken on the 15th. Sunday will kick off with the Bills, who split their season series with the Dolphins; and, while its worth keeping in mind that both games were decided by three points or less, there is a shroud of uncertainty in Miami, as both their starting and second-string QB are currently injured. The Vikings will host their first home playoff game since the Minneapolis Miracle in January 2018. They will battle the surprising New York Giants, led by ‘Coach of the Year’ candidate Brian Daboll. Their one and only meeting during the regular season wasn’t decided until Vikings Kicker Greg Joseph hit a 61-yard field goal on the final play. The final Sunday game features the runner-up of last year’s Super Bowl, the Cincinnati Bengals. This is Joe Burrow’s revenge tour. It is still unknown whether he will have to face off against the electrifying Lamar Jackson, as he is questionable due to a knee injury.

The last game of the Wild Card round takes place on Monday, January 16th. If the Cowboys are to make it to the divisional round, they’re going to have to do something they’ve never done before: beat Tom Brady. The Cowboys are 0-7 against Brady all-time, which includes a Week 1 loss. With such a packed slate of games, there’s never been a better time to sign up for FanDuel, who is now offering new users their incredible ‘Bet $5 Get $150’ offer. Whether you win or lose, FanDuel will deposit $150 right into your account. Sign up for FanDuel and don’t miss out on all the action!

I've really never been much of a bettor on games. It wasn't legal when I got into Fantasy and I didn't know much about placing the right parlay. For me, the excitement of going to the occasional live game or just having everyone over was a good way to get more excitement from the weekend. But, with FanDuel Sportsbook now legal in my state, those friends who come on Sunday were now legally betting on specific games and winning some decent money. So, this past weekend, I had to finally join in and bet on the NFL slate with them.

First, the best news for first time users, FanDuel Sportsbook offers great weekly promotions. There’s also the incredible New User Offer: Bet $5 Get $150. This means when you place your first $5 bet you will get an instant $150 back in Free Bets win or lose!

The overall process of signing up is pretty easy... I downloaded the app from the App Store and created an account by giving them my email, debit card, and Social Security #. My Social was needed to make sure all betters are legit and blocks players, coaches, and referees from betting.

The app surprised me TBH--it's super easy to get the hang of, and it's packed full of useful tips and tutorials that helped me learn the ropes in no time. They list all the sports on the left (not just football), and you can make different kinds of bets, like money-line, over/under, teasers, parlays and more.

I decided to use my first bet on the Giants to win with the spread. Let's just say this was my favorite Sunday I've had with the guys in years. As we bet on many other games throughout the day, including basketball, it was loads of fun all rooting for the same outcome to teams and scores we typically wouldn't care much about: the extra money in our pocket wasn't bad either. Best part is right after the game ends, you can cash out your winnings right away.

FanDuel Sportsbook is going to make Sunday's even more fun. So make sure you're not left on the sidelines and take advantage of these amazing promos.
