The "30 Rock" Reunion "Upfront Event" Sounds Annoying as Hell

Fans are being deprived of a true 30 Rock reunion in favor of a weird meta-marketing event

Update 7/15/2020: As it turns out, the promotional nature of the upcoming 30 Rock reunion special is not a hit with everyone.

According to a new report from The Wrap, several large NBC affiliate groups have opted not to air the hour-long special which amounts to little more than an hour-long infomercial for the next year of NBC programming—and for NBCUniversal's exclusive streaming service Peacock—interspersed with some comedy from Liz Lemon and the TGS crew.

This means that many viewers who tune in to their local NBC channel to when the reunion special is airing at 8:00 Thursday night will instead be greeted by... something else.

Did Hailey Baldwin Just Vow to Kill Selena Gomez?

Thank God Selena got out while she could.

Selena Gomez has released a new song called "Lose You to Love Me," which many fans think is a final goodbye to her famous ex Justin Bieber.

For anyone needing a refresher on the Baldwin-Bieber-Gomez love triangle, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber famously dated on-and-off from the time they were teens. They broke up for the last time in March 2018; Bieber started dating Baldwin in June, and the pair got engaged in July.

After Bieber and Baldwin celebrated their wedding, fans watched Gomez's moves with bated breath. A sleepy, sad-faced selfie Gomez garnered over 8 million likes.

The social media drama has continued. Precisely four minutes after the star posted "Lose You To Love Me," a glittery piano ballad that erupts into a lush chorus, Hailey Bieber posted a screenshot of the song "I'll Kill You" by Summer Walker, a song that is mostly about a woman warning another woman to stay away from her man. Gomez's many devoted fans have criticized Mrs. Bieber, comparing each of their reactions in a series of scintillating Tweets. Many have pointed out that Gomez's song in no way seems to imply that she wants JBiebs back; instead, it seems to praise the end of a toxic relationship.

Bieber also posted something after Gomez's song dropped, though it's slightly more cryptic: An extremely high-definition image of a very annoyed-looking cheetah.

Personally, I'm happy for Selena. She's a complex, talented, strong woman and she shouldn't have to deal with somebody as obviously needy as Justin Bieber. In so many of the interviews with Bieber and Baldwin, Bieber seems to describe Baldwin as the steady, stable contrast to his heavily tattooed chaos, but really, it just seems like Bieber's looking for someone to take care of him. Thank god Selena got out of there when she could.

Still, maybe we shouldn't all be so quick to attack Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber. They're probably fighting like hell right now to preserve their marriage in the name of Jesus Christ, while Selena Gomez just released the best song of her career—which isn't saying all that much, but still. Anyone who watched them fall for each other in 2009 knows why this is so important.

After a year of battling for the right to continue to appropriate the stories and identities of people of color and LGBTQ+ individuals, Scarlett Johansson has once again made headlines for a controversial opinion.

This time, the Avengers actress is facing backlash for saying that she continues to "love" and "believe" Woody Allen, despite accusations of sexual abuse made against him by his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow. "I love Woody," she told The Hollywood Reporter. "I believe him, and I would work with him anytime. I see Woody whenever I can, and I have had a lot of conversations with him about it. I have been very direct with him, and he's very direct with me. He maintains his innocence, and I believe him."

So, in the spirit of this radical acceptance, we've compiled a list of some dream collaborators for the Ghost in The Shell actress!

1. Harvey Weinstein

© WireImage

What better person to bring Johansson's dream of playing a tree to the big screen than the notorious Hollywood producer accused of sexual misconduct by 87 women! Like Allen, Weinstein also denied all allegations against him, meaning he meets Johansson's criteria for innocence.

2. Roman Polanksi

Johansson seems to look for two things in her friends: a talent for filmmaking and an affinity for raping children. Who does that remind you of?! That's right: Roman Polanski, of course. Unfortunately, Johansson would have to travel to France to work with Polanski, who currently resides there as a fugitive from America after pleading guilty to his crimes. Oh, but then he wrote about them in graphic detail in his autobiography Roman by Polanski (Yes, that's really the title). Woody Allen supposedly pitched a memoir to publishers earlier this year, obviously modeling his life and crimes off the life and crimes of the Rosemary's Baby director.

3. Shane Dawson

In the age of the internet, the lines between types of media are becoming blurrier and blurrier. Why confine a talented and morally upstanding actress like Johansson to merely collaborating with big names in the film industry? Shane Dawson, a Youtuber who caught heat for posting a video in black face long after society knew better (oh, and possibly having sex with his cat), is the perfect mixture of sexually perverse and racially insensitive to work well with Scar Jo!

4. Bryan Singer

While Singer is known for his sexual preference for teenage boys instead of teenage girls (as is Allen's preference), Johansson would probably still be up for collaborating with the Usual Suspects director. After all, Singer also maintains his innocence, meaning that despite the many, many credible sources who have accused Singer of assault, Johansson would probably consider him 100% innocent!

5. James Toback

'The Private Life Of A Modern Woman' photocall, 74th Venice Film Festival, Italy - 03 Sep 2017 Maria Laura Antonelli/REX/Shutte

According to the Los Angeles Times, Toback, who has directed over a dozen films including Bugsy and The Pickup Artist, has been accused of sexual misconduct by over 200 women, who allege the director frequently lured women back to hotel rooms for "auditions and interviews," interactions that ended, according to many of the women interviewed, with Toback rubbing up against them or playing with himself in front of them and ultimately reaching climax. But once again, Toback has maintained that he never even met any of his accusers, making him fair game for a Scar Jo collab!

6. Muammar Gaddafi

The notorious Libyan dictator is deceased, so Johansson won't be able to work with him directly, but what's stopping her from starring in an autobiographical film of his life? She can play a Middle Eastern character, no problem! Gaddafi was known for kidnapping girls as young as 14 to imprison and repeatedly rape for years on end. But hey, his government continually denied these accusations, so Johansson would probably get along with him fine!

7. Satan

Sure, the devil is accused of a great many misdeeds by a great many people. Jesus himself said, "He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him." But hey, that's just one guy's opinion! I wonder what ol' firey Fred would have to say for himself if he was just given a chance to speak back against all this ridiculous PC culture. Chances are that he would maintain he's had nothing to do with all the famine, war, natural disasters, genocides, rape, plagues, Hollywood's existence, or rampant cultural appropriation by white women. Therefore, Scarlett Johansson would probably "love" and "believe" Lucifer, if given the chance.

Alec Baldwin Pleads Guilty to Punching a Man, Then Comments on a Terrorist

Baldwin took a deal with prosecutors and immediately took to Twitter to complain.

CBS News

Notorious hot-head Alec Baldwin will begin court-ordered anger management counseling.

The 60-year-old appeared before a judge on Wednesday to plead guilty to harassment. Back in November, the actor engaged in an altercation over a parking spot in Greenwich Village. While Baldwin denied getting physical with Wojciech Cieszkowski, the 49-year-old reported to police that SNL's favorite Trump actor had punched him in the face.

Prosecutor Ryan Lipes dropped initial charges of misdemeanor attempted assault, resulting in Baldwin paying a $120 fine and agreeing to complete anger management classes by March 27. On Wednesday, Lipes issued the statement, "We have had an opportunity to review video surveillance in this case, speak with the witnesses, review the medical records and speak with the victim. Given that Mr. Baldwin does not have a criminal record, we are prepared to offer a harassment violation in the second degree with the the condition that he completes the short anger management program."

Baldwin has a lengthy history of being arrested for violence, along with long Twitter rants attempting to justify his belligerent behavior. After the charges against him were filed in November, he posted, "New York City is a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign."

But on Wednesday, Baldwin seemed to take a socially-conscious turn in his post-hearing Twitter rant. While embarrassment and pride surely contributed to him shaming the amount of press that converged inside the courthouse, he criticized the media's priorities, as well. He posted, "I pled guilty to a charge of harassment, a violation. In that bldg today there are 3 murder trials scheduled, one involving a white supremacist who killed someone in Times Square. All the press was outside the courtroom I was in."

He was referring to the case of James Harris Jackson, 30, who stabbed 66-year-old Timothy Caughman to death in 2017 as part of his "global, total war" on black communities. Jackson appeared in the same courthouse as Baldwin to plead guilty to murder and acts of terrorism.

It's as if criminal history was made twice on Wednesday: Jackson became the first white supremacist to be prosecuted on charges of terrorism in New York State, and Baldwin made a sound point about media's relationships with the criminal justice system by punching a guy in the face.

Hailey Baldwin

All you need to know.

Full Name: Hailey Rhode Baldwin

Date of Birth: November 22, 1996

Born: Tucson, AZ

Occupation: Model

Status: Married? to Justin Bieber

Children: 0

The gorgeous 21-year-old Hailey Baldwin is yet another member of the famous Baldwin family shining in the spotlight. As a sought-after model and "it girl" du jour, Baldwin is making headlines, not only for her many blessings in the genetic department, but for her high-profile relationship with pop singer Justin Bieber, and her flock of famous friends. Here's more about the blonde bombshell and why she makes the folks at Page Six light up at the sound of her name.

Famous Family

The name "Baldwin" is known around the globe. First thoughts may jump to actor Alec – Hailey's uncle – but these days the 21-year-old beauty is the star of the show. Unless, of course, her uncle gets in a punching match over a parking spot…allegedly. Baldwin's dad is Alec's brother, Stephen Baldwin, and her mom, graphic designer Kennya Deodato Baldwin, is not much of a headline-maker, but still part of the well-to-do clan. Then there's the rest of the Baldwin brothers to round out the crew, along with cousin Ireland Baldwin, model and daughter of Alec and actress Kim Basinger. Hollywood is bubbling over with Baldwins and Hailey is at the top of the heap.

Engaged? Married?

Pop star Justin Bieber was long linked to singer/actress Selena Gomez, but that on-again/off-again romance finally fizzled out for good. Back comes Baldwin (she and Bieber had dated in the past) to woo Bieber off his feet and before long the lovebirds were engaged. Fast forward and rumors are swirling that they got hitched at City Hall in NYC. Dodging the hoopla, Baldwin and Bieber haven't exactly confirmed their "I dos," but the paparazzi has a different story. Either way, they are definitely an item and a tight one at that.

Model Citizen

Baldwin's bread and butter comes from modeling. She has graced the pages of Vogue, Elle, W magazine, Marie Claire, and other high-profile publications. As for designers, Baldwin's face and figure have been the go-to pick for Ralph Lauren, Topshop, Guess, Elie Saab, Tory Burch, UGG, Tommy Hilfiger, Karl Lagerfeld, and more. Her drop-dead good looks and enviable body make Baldwin a no-brainer for brands who seek a fresh face for their campaigns.

What's Next for Baldwin?

Soon we're sure to get a confirmation on the whole marriage thing. And the modeling gigs don't seem like they'll dry up anytime soon. Will she and "The Biebs" have a baby? At 21, Baldwin is practically one herself. But one thing's for sure. The Baldwin family isn't going anywhere, and Hailey is no small part of their popularity.

Alec Baldwin Arrested for Assault in NYC

Alec Baldwin, the notoriously temperamental actor known of late for his impression of Donald Trump on Saturday Night Live, was arrested on Friday for misdemeanor assault, according to police.

Baldwin's latest explosion allegedly unfolded over a parking spot: according to witnesses, a third party had been holding a spot for Baldwin near his Manhattan home when a driver came and took the spot, leading to an argument that ended with Baldwin punching the driver. As of Friday afternoon, he was in a holding cell in Greenwich Village.

Baldwin is known for igniting the ire of the president with his mocking impression, but the actor is no stranger to histrionics. In 2014, he was arrested for disorderly conduct for drawing a crowd when his outburst against two police officers who had stopped him for riding his bicycle the wrong way. Immediately upon his release, Baldwin posted on Twitter that "New York City is a mismanaged carnival of stupidity."

The actor has also been known to hurl homophobic epithets during arguments, get physical with paparazzi, and criticize late night television hosts for being too political. When asked for comment about Baldwin's latest kerfuffle, all that the president had to say was "I wish him luck." First son Donald Trump, Jr., however, responded with the spectacularly hypocritical, "is anyone shocked at this piece of garbage anymore?"
