2021 Has been a big year for Zack Snyder.

The "Snyder Cut" of 2017's Justice League finally hit HBO Max in March — in four hours of gloriously washed out, letterboxed 4:3 aspect ratio — and was widely praised as a substantial improvement over Joss Whedon's butchered and stitched together theatrical release. Then, in May, his zombie-heist movie Army of the Dead arrived on Netflix and quickly became one of the platform's most-watched movies of all time.

In the final scene of Season 2 of The Mandalorian, Mando reassures Grogu (AKA Baby Yoda) that it is okay to leave with his new guardian.

Update 2/11/2021: Lucasfilm announced this morning that "Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future," adding that her recent social media posts were "abhorrent and unacceptable."

Reports have suggested that plans for Carano to have her own series spin-off from the Mandalorian were scrapped in November following previous controversial posts. Carano has also reportedly been dropped as a client by United Talent Agency.

Update 2/10/2021: #FireGinaCarano is trending on Twitter once again after Carano shared an image on TikTok comparing the social reprecussions of espousing pro-Trump views to the street violence that German citizens directed at Jews as the Nazi party took hold. The image closes with the question "How is that any different than hating people for their political views?" Which would be a great point if it wasn't nonsense.

With season 2 of The Mandalorian concluding nearly three weeks ago, fans may be starting to get desperate for more of that primo Baby Yoda content, but there's good news!

It turns out that The Mandalorian originally started as a family-friendly show called Grogu Pains back in the early 1990s, and Nerdist has just recovered the show's classic, sax-heavy intro. According to the video description, Nerdist, "dug into [their] VHS tapes and found an old episode of Grogu Pains, a wholesome '90s sitcom about a single dad and his son's hijinks, as well as all the friends they made along the way."
