Over the past several years, Corbyn Besson has created a fanbase as a member of the boy band Why Don’t We. Now, he’s developing his own sound as a solo artist.

His throwback 2000s style stands out against a crowded field of male pop singers. He’s closer to Justin Timberlake than Alex Warren or Benson Boone. Recent singles “Love Me Better” and “Tied Up” have led to his biggest collab yet with R&B star Jeremih. Released on August 1, “Summer,” is an energetic pop anthem made for a sunset a drive with the windows down.

Although he’s no longer in a boy band, Besson is still dedicated to dancing and showmanship. As he creates music, he’s thinking about how it translates to onstage choreography.

In this interview with Demi Ramos, Besson talks about this new phase of his career, his love for sports cars, and the experience of performing at Red Rocks with DJ duo Two Friends.
