It's almost the Holidays, and you know what that means? The indulgence is going to start soon.
I love my turkey on Thanksgiving and egg nog at Christmas, and the absolute best part of this season is all the chocolate my brother brings from Switzerland every year when he comes home - It's obvious why I usually gain weight this time of year.
I recently lost a few pounds, and I'm feeling great, so I really didn't want to put it all back on over the space of just a few weeks. I was trying to think of a way to eat healthy in between holiday parties and all of the feasts so that I can really indulge here and there without feeling guilty.
The only thing is, this is the busiest time of year for me at work, so I don't really have much time to prep meals anymore, which is what I did to help me lose the few pounds. I didn't really know a way I could eat healthy without prepping meals, but then I came across Splendid Spoon.
Splendid Spoon is a subscription service that delivers ready-to-eat, nourishing, plant-based smoothies, soups, and grain bowls to your doorstep. Sounded great and super convenient, but would the soups and smoothies satisfy me?
I read more on the website and saw that they are high in fiber and good fats, designed to fill you up, satisfy hunger and give you energy. The grain bowls, soups, and smoothies are made with natural, superfood ingredients that are vegan, GMO-free, and gluten. They're completely unprocessed and low in sugar and sodium.
But when I saw that with the Breakfast + Lunch Reset plan, meals come to only $8 each, I realized that this would not only be healthy but also save me money. So, since the holidays are coming up and I needed to get that healthy boost, I decided to take the plunge and order.
It arrived in a few days right to my doorstep. When I opened the box, I saw how appetizing and delicious they looked. I couldn't wait to try them.
During my first week, the thing I liked most was how convenient the meals were. I can grab a smoothie in the morning when rushing to work, plus bring the soups to work with me for lunch.
oooove how tasty they are. The Chocolate Cherry Smoothie is my favorite smoothie by far - it curbs my sweet cravings. And I love the soups too - particularly the Mexican Tomato Soup, which contains avocado oil to help nutrient absorption. But the best part is, they actually fill me up and give me energy!
After my first week, I felt much more refreshed and less bloated. All the meals are pre-portioned, so no prep needed: you just pop the soups and grain bowls into the microwave, and you're good to go! Plus, the portions are a perfect size, so it's a great way to prepare for overindulging during the holidays.
After one month, I could really feel the benefits. I had more energy and felt that healthy boost I needed to allow me to indulge guilt-free over the holidays. Whether you want to prepare for something in particular or just start eating better, I'd recommend Splendid Spoon, especially for anyone who would like to eat healthily but doesn't have the time to prep meals. I wish I had tried it sooner!

There's a big problem with the trailer for Morbius, Sony's upcoming Marvel outing that is definitely not part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe even though it has Michael Keaton reprising his role as Vulture (please let us keep our license, Disney!).
See if you can spot it.
MORBIUS - Teaser Trailer www.youtube.com
If you answered, "Sampling Beethoven's 'Für Elise' to line up with blue-tinted action shots is the absolute lowest effort, brain-dead attempt to signify 'gothic vampire movie' in the entire history of movie trailers," you're correct, but that's still not the biggest problem with Morbius. No, the biggest problem is that Morbius is played by Jared Leto.
The best thing about movies is that sometimes they feature cats.
Cats are great. They are furry purr-boxes that usually hate you. Whether they're the hero, the villain, or just kind of there, nothing beats watching a movie and seeing a cat on-screen. So we've compiled a list of the best REAL cats in movies. That means the movie needs to feature a REAL cat instead of an animated cat, because otherwise this would just be a list of cartoon cats. These cats are REAL, and they're works of art:
