Straight out of the Land of 10,000 Lakes comes Yam Haus, a Minneapolis-based pop-rock band, with the premiere of the music video for "Groovin' (That Feel Good Song)."

"Groovin'" is from the band's recently released debut album, Stargazer, featuring a dozen tasty tracks of hard-hitting pop blended with old-school rock and roll, and hip-hop. The band's sound showcases potent sonic embellishments and spick-and-span guitar work.

Yam Haus is made up of Lars Pruitt (vocals, guitar), Seth Blum (guitar), Jake Felstow (drums), and Zach Beinlich (bass). Songwriting chores are handled by front man Pruitt and producer Mark Heimermann, and mirror episodes from Pruitt's life, and how he found significance in the midst of emotional anguish.

"Groovin'" opens with a delicious funk-lite pop melody riding on a rhythmic pulse of crisp drums and a muscular bassline. Tight and right guitars exude pristine colors and coruscating waves of energy. Pruitt's voice, high and flavored with scrumptious hues, is reminiscent of Coldplay's Chris Martin, only with cleaner textures and sparkling timbres. It's one of those contagiously magnetic voices suffused with alluring, tantalizing tones.

The music begins to swell on the bridge, and then glows with bright vitality on the chorus, as cashmere vocal harmonies fill the tune with gleaming depth and dimension.

The video, directed by Tobey Krafft, reflects buoyant get-up-and-go, as the band puts together a public dance party in just a few hours. As the video opens, the band members discuss their plan, and then the fun begins. The band walks around a corner caparisoned in '70s disco outfits and the party takes off.

The lyrics, effervescent and bubbling, cultivate verve, eschewing any type of dreary flatness.

"We gotta bring it back / So many hours watching Netflix, side chicks / Staring at your telephone / Nobody's dancing anymore / No, I don't mean bumpin' and grinding / I'm talkin'."

With "Groovin' (That Feel Good Song)," Yam Haus defines feeling good, and encourages forgetting what others think about you and simply expressing your happiness. This song is lit!
