The Best 2019 Grammys Moments... JK Here's the Worst

The 2019 Grammys were laughably bad, as usual.

Jennifer Lopez - Motown Tribute (Grammys 2019)

The Grammys are kind of like your babysitter from fourth grade—you thought they were so cool and hot, but now you realize you wore rose-colored glasses. They're outdated, not as good looking as you remember, and have a Xanax addiction. Exactly like the Grammys.

It's like the Grammys aren't even trying to glow up at all. After using her image on billboards and heavily touting her performance at Sunday's event, The Grammy Awards have lost Ariana Grande as both a performer and an attendee. According to Variety, a dispute arose between producers and Grande, who is nominated for two awards at the ceremony, over the pop star's setlist. An unnamed source told the magazine that Grande was "insulted" when producers initially refused to let her perform her latest single, "7 Rings." They had reached an agreement once producers relented and agreed that the song could be included in a medley, but fell apart again once they insisted that they choose the rest of the songs in the performance.

Move over Grammys artists, because the show just got swept out from under your feet.

Every year, people wonder what will be the most impactful part of the Grammys. Will it be Post Malone performing with the Red Hot Chili Peppers? Or whatever Cardi B does? No need to wonder anymore, because it won't be either. In fact, the biggest moment of this year's Grammys won't be a performance of all.

Maren Morris, the Grammy-award winning pop powerhouse whose song "The Middle" is nominated for Record of the Year, just released an inspirational music video to accompany her new single "GIRL."

The video–which opens up with a soft-spoken Morris speaking on how women just want "the same as everybody else"–features an eclectic montage of women doing badass stuff. From dancing and yoga to boxing and setting cars on fire, the music video pays homage to all the strong women that inspire Morris. "What you feel is natural," Morris belts on the track's rocking chorus. "Pick yourself up off the kitchen floor." The video additionally shows women devastated, trying to reconcile with the hardships that come with being badasses. "Baby girl, don't you hang your head low," Morris croons. "Don't lose your halo." The track, which was released on January 17th, is already getting praise, specifically from acclaimed actress Nicole Kidman. "Another female country music powerhouse!" she said on her Instagram story. "Your new single is on repeat, Maren Morris!"

As the video comes to a close, it shows Morris belting out the chorus one last time in front of thousands during a stadium show, with gritty electric guitar chords ringing out. "Well, one of the hard things about being a girl is having to answer all these questions about why it's hard to be a girl," Morris says with a laugh as the song trails off. We hear you, Maren. Keep doing your thing. Check out the video below.

Post Malone's Stank Will Envelop Red Hot Chili Peppers at Grammy Awards

Okay, maybe Post Malone doesn't actually smell that bad, nobody really knows.

But the idea of Flea getting lost in a cloud of dirt and weed smoke on live TV is pretty funny.

In what's being billed as an "unforgettable Grammy moment," the Red Hot Chili Peppers are set to perform alongside Post Malone at the 61st Grammy Awards. Post Malone is also nominated for four Grammys this year including Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Rap/Sung Performance.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are Grammy legends in their own right, having won Best Rock Album for Stadium Arcadium in 2007.

Together, they're sure to rock the stage and possibly stink it up very badly for the next performer.

The Post Malone/ Red Hot Chili Peppers collaboration will be joining an impressive list of performers at this year's Grammys including Brandi Carlile, H.E.R., Miley Cyrus, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Dan + Shay, Malone, Shawn Mendes, Janelle Monáe, and Kacey Musgraves.

For all their sakes, hopefully they'll be too congested to smell the aftermath.

The 61st Grammy Awards will be broadcast live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles on CBS on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at 8:00 p.m. EST/ 5:00 p.m. PT.
