Luca Chesney

What comes next after you leave everything that you've ever known, for a chance to follow your dreams? You find a way to make sense of the newness.

In Luca Chesney's case, luckily for us, she made sense of the novel obscurities that surrounded her through emotive songwriting, production, and art, finding inspiration in all the same emotions that once made her feel isolated and out of place.

Luca is an NYC-based electro-R&B artist, who has crafted her art in a unique and introspective way, talking about individuation, the interior journey, and the life/death cycle. She grew up a child to Christian missionaries in the Dominican Republic, and recently uprooted her life to New York City in order to explore her creative aspirations.

Her latest single, "Revolver, is from her forthcoming EP Mother Electric. Luca's sound is artful while accessible with beats that fully engage you upon listening. The track alludes to pulling the trigger on your former self and starting anew. While the message is deeply personal, Luca's sumptuous voice, velvety and chaffering, makes the track cap-a-pie captivating, almost hypnotic.

Oozing with dark, melancholic-flavored alt-pop colors, "Revolver" exudes filaments of wistful elegance and the cool energy of sophisticated voluptuous tones. Luca has it going on, and "Revolver" shows why.
