SINGLES

Sonny | "Let Love"

In his latest single, Sonny reflects on the importance of familial love. "[The song] came from a time where my love life was all over the place and I craved a relationship and having someone there, rather than being on my own," he explained. "So, I spoke to my Mom and she said let love come to me rather than going out looking for it. I thought this was such a great piece of advice. The next week I took the idea into a writing session and the song was formed."

Jamie Lawson | The Answer

The playful video from singer-songwriter Jamie Lawson came from a train ride: "I was on a train from somewhere to London listening to a lot of instrumental music when suddenly the idea for this track came to me. The lyrics started flowing and by the time I reached the studio where Ollie Green was, I'd written most of the song. As it progressed, what I thought might be a tender love song transformed into a fun, indie bop!"

Wargirl | Mess Around

"Mess Around" Official Video by Wargirlwww.youtube.com

California indie-rock collective Wargirl channels their anger in their latest video and track. "The idea for 'Mess Around' came during a political election. Looking at the candidates groveling and speaking manipulative words, brought to mind the picture of an abusive or cheating boyfriend," the band said. "Someone who tries to talk you into staying with them after lying and behaving badly. It really is quite laughable so we wrote a song to remind us all to laugh at horrible people rather than suffering fools."
