I've never been someone that is hugely into going out all the time, so when the stay-at-home orders came in I didn't think I'd miss it much.
But over the last few months, I have really missed the excitement of trying new foods, and especially new wines with my friends. Most wine clubs use algorithms to select wines for us, which takes out the social aspect. There's no discussing tastes or comparing knowledge - which is the fun part of trying new wines! Plus I'm really looking forward to the online tasting experience and getting even more socializing back with my wine.
Having my wine delivered to my doorstep every month is also super convenient. I'm trying to limit my exposure to public places and this has saved me 6 trips a month. But to be honest, even after things go back to normal I plan to keep my Tasting Room membership because it's so convenient, and I'll always have a concierge to advise me when I need to bring a bottle to any gatherings.
