Ant Thomaz steps into 2026 with “Good Times Roll,” a feel-good track that feels like it’s meant to bring people together. Written and recorded with the idea of a “Scottish Mardi Gras” in mind, the single leans heavily into rhythm and movement. Thomaz lets the groove breathe, drawing on Louisiana Mardi Gras traditions, Celtic influences, and wider global sounds to create something that feels upbeat and celebratory.

Co-produced with longtime collaborator Chris Gordon and shaped across nearly a year of experimentation, Thomaz brought in musicians who could fully inhabit the rhythm, allowing each player’s musical background to colour the track naturally. Hints of zydeco sit comfortably alongside subtler nods to Bollywood and South African music, all woven into a sound that feels communal rather than genre-bound.

Lyrically, “Good Times Roll” reflects on staying present through change, finding calm within chaos, and learning how to move through both highs and lows. Thomaz’s writing often begins with melody, with words following instinct rather than force, circling themes of self-discovery and holding onto a youthful spirit. Rooted in connection and authenticity, the single also signals a new chapter for Ant Thomaz, as he continues to make music that values feeling, togetherness, and the simple power of letting good moments unfold.
