Roman is Removing The Stigma Around Treating ED

I have always considered myself a normal guy. Sure I occasionally suffered some slight performance issues in the bedroom, but I always thought that was just something that happens. I certainly wouldn't have said I suffered from ED. While I might not be in incredible shape, I try to eat healthy and stay active. That's why I was shocked to learn just how common ED is, and even more surprised to learn that even occasional performance issues should be treated right away. ED affects more than half of all men, and as many as 1 in five will struggle with it in their 20's alone, a that number increases for men in their 30s, 40s and 50s. When I heard about Roman, a new online health provider that specializes in treating ED, I decided to check them out.

Roman was founded by Zachariah Reitano, who suffered from ED himself at just 17. Like me, he ignored it at first. His father, a sexual health doctor, knew that ED is often a symptom of far more serious underlying conditions because having an erection requires many systems to work together. His dad brought him in for a stress test where he was asked to jog on a treadmill. While running, his heart stopped and he collapsed. After heart surgery, he was prescribed medication which had an additional side effect of ED. During his recovery, he realized how broken the system was and how difficult it was to get treatment. Roman was founded so that he could remove the stigma from getting help, and start a broader conversation among men about taking their health more seriously.

I was floored by the story and decided to try Roman for myself. I took ten minutes and filled out a brief online survey. I was asked about any current health issues or medications I was taking, and I had to provide a recent blood pressure reading. I also took a quick picture of my license and my face with my phone camera so that Roman could confirm my identity. I paid a one time consultation fee to Roman ($15) to connect with a fully licensed doctor in my state. It was reassuring to connect with an actual doctor from the comfort of my living room couch. I dread doctor's visits, and there was no way I was going to explain that I thought I had ED to someone in person.

Once I was approved, I got to pick my choice of medication, from name brands like Viagra and Cialis, to the generic version. Roman gave me the option to use their own dedicated online pharmacy so I could have the medication shipped directly to me and avoid the drugstore. I had heard horror stories of men buying shady pills online that contained crazy contaminants like paint and printer ink, or pills that just didn't work. It felt reassuring to know that a real doctor had written me a prescription, and that Roman was fully licensed and regulated. They even capped the number of doses I could order at once to combat potential abuses.

My order arrived a day later, and it came in a surprisingly sleek box that was subtly marked "RHP". I had opted for the generic medication, and each pill was separated into a sleek packet that fit right in my wallet. I had some concerns about taking this kind of medication and questions about how often I was allowed to use it. I reached out to my Roman doctor and he jumped on the phone within the hour to talk with me. It was one of the most supportive experiences I've had with a doctor.

I never thought my performance issues were a true problem until I found Roman. They've not only made me more comfortable and confident in the bedroom, they've actually made me more passionate about taking care of my health in general. Every guy with any hesitation about ED now has a chance to get the help and treatment they need without the stigma or judgement.
