Why I Was Skeptical To Try Le Tote And Why I’m So Glad I Did

I'm always looking for fun ways to change up my style and add variety to my wardrobe, but I'm not the most creative when it comes to my clothes. I know the look I'm going for, but it's hard for me to put it all together. I feel like I don't have enough time to go to a million stores and find the perfect piece to complete an outfit. Not to mention, finding the right style and size can seem impossible. I had heard about clothing boxes delivered right to your door, and thought I'd do some research. After browsing my options, Le Tote kept popping up. It's an online fashion subscription service that sends you brand-name clothing and accessories in every box.

I'm very picky about the fit of my clothes and have a certain look I'm going for. I had some concerns in trying an online service like this. Given the trouble I've had in the past, I was skeptical that they'd be able to get my fit and style just right. But after reading a ton of reviews of people who love the service, I figured it couldn't hurt to give it a try.

I created a profile and filled out Le Tote's detailed Style Quiz. The quiz asked about which styles I preferred to wear and even had photos to reference patterns and fit. I needed clothes that were perfect for both a day at the office or a night out. For top styles, I chose flowy cut, tunics, collared shirts, and boho style. For pants, I chose skinny jeans, trousers, wide leg, and leggings. I also got to choose the type of sweaters, jackets, dresses and jewelry I prefer. Le Tote even took into account the weather in my region, but I still wasn't convinced about how a personalized box could be created for me based on a few style questions.

I got to the end of the quiz and was prompted to choose a rental plan. For a fixed price, you get one Tote a month with items from brands that you know and love. At the end of the month, just mail back your tote in the prepaid envelope, and get a new one. I went for the Clothing-only option since I don't wear a lot of jewelry. It included four clothing items per month plus free shipping. Before my tote was sent out, I got to review my order and preview everything. I thought this feature was a nice touch because I could make sure everything fit my style.

A few days later, the box was sitting on my doorstep when I got home from work. I was excited to try on my first round of clothes.. I went through the four clothing items. I got a pair of Calvin Klein jeans, a French Connection tiered bell sleeved top, an Anne Klein dress and a Hayes light blue and white pinstripe trench coat. Everything looked exactly as it did on the site, and the trench was a lot cuter in person. It's usually difficult for me to find clothes that fit how I like, but to my surprise, all four items fit nicely.

I wore the jeans a couple of times and paired them with a few different tops. I decided to keep the pinstriped trench because I thought it'd be a nice staple piece for my wardrobe. The dress was a hit at my work function and it gave me a huge confidence boost. I even convinced a couple of coworkers to sign up. I was relieved to find out that once I was done with the clothes, all I had to do was seal them in the pre-paid return bag and send them back- Le Tote does all the laundering for you so I didn't even have to bother with washing them. One thing that I've noticed is that my tote gets better each time. The more feedback I give about the clothes, the more I feel that Le Tote really understands my personal style. I have the option to pause the service anytime, but I don't foresee that happening anytime soon. Le Tote has helped me keep my look fresh without the extra effort, and I couldn't be happier.
