sundayclub Announces Debut EP, Shares New Single “Halloween Mask”
via artist

At the start of the summer, Canadian dream-pop duo sundayclub released their debut single, “Bannatyne,” via Paper Bag Records — a love letter to the city that shaped their sound. Today, the pair announce their debut EP, Bannatyne, out October 31st, alongside their timely second single, “Halloween Mask.”

Formed in the stillness of rural Manitoba, Courtney Carmichael and Nikki St.Pierre started sundayclub as a way of processing the strange limbo of early adulthood — that feeling of being caught between who you were and who you’re becoming. Taking cues from artists like MetricDayWaveThe 1975Clairobeabadoobee, and Alvvays, the duo blends hazy indie-pop and dreamy shoegaze textures with raw, unfiltered storytelling. Their debut single, Bannatyne, earned them comparisons to Yo La TengoSlowdiveClairo, and boygenius. sundayclub exudes a nostalgic yet fresh energy — music that feels like something you’ve heard before, but grounded in a specific sense of time and place.

“Halloween Mask” is a haunting and evocative plea for vulnerability. In a hazy whisper, Carmichael asks, “What are you gonna dress up as? You’re dressed up all the time.” Released alongside stunning visuals, the music video follows Carmichael adorned in an eerie mask — her face never fully revealed.

sundayclub are undoubtedly a duo to watch as their narrative unfolds.
“Halloween Mask” is out September 17th. Bannatyne follows on October 31st via Paper Bag Records.

sundayclub – Bio:

sundayclub doesn’t write songs so much as time-stamp them.

Each track plays like a blurry photograph. Grainy but glowing. Fleeting but full of feeling. Formed in the stillness of rural Manitoba, Courtney and Nikki started sundayclub as a way of processing the strange limbo of early adulthood: that feeling of being caught between who you were and who you’re becoming.

The band blends hazy indie pop and dreamy textures with unfiltered storytelling. Their music feels like a guided tour through snapshots of growing up, growing apart, and growing into your skin. As sundayclub’s sound sharpens, so does their sense of self.
