Contemporary pop-punk heroes Joyce Manor have announced a surprise album, coming out this Friday.

The record is a compilation of rarities called Songs from Northern Torrance, with remastered material originally recorded by the California band between 2008-2010. Consisting of 10 acoustic tracks, some of the songs have appeared on proper Joyce Manor albums or have become fan-favorites in live sets.

Joyce Manor have preceded the album with a single called "House Warning Party," a one-minute ripper brimming with angst and catchy quintessential Joyce Manor hooks. The band has shared a lyric video to go along with "House Warning Party" containing old footage of a packed house show. If you've been missing karaoke or sweaty rock gigs while social distancing, this one's for you.

"A lot of early Joyce Manor songs are actually leftovers from earlier bands, but 'House Warning Party' was the first song I wrote specifically for Joyce Manor," singer Barry Johnson said in a statement. "I was working at the Long Beach Aquarium and the first line of the song came to me while I was perusing the vending machine on my break."
