David Guetta Protégé HYPATON Drops “Outta My Head”
With David Guetta calling him the “future of Future Rave“, HYPATON is living up to the hype. After viral reworks, millions of streams, and a headline-making collabs with David Guetta, the Italian producer and DJ is now unleashing a brand-new single – “Outta My Head,” a high-voltage team-up with Belgian hitmaker Henri PFR and powerhouse vocalist Norma Jean Martine. Out now via Warner Music, the track lands just in time for the summer festival season, which will see HYPATON hitting the Parookaville mainstage and joining David Guetta for a string of high-profile Ibiza shows, including at the hyped new club [UNVRS] and the legendary Ushuaïa residency, as well as Dubai, Canada, Croatia, and more. “Outta My Head” is exactly what the title promises – unforgettable. Built around hypnotic beats, glittering synth nostalgia, and Norma Jean Martine‘s unmistakable voice, the song walks the emotional line between melancholy and euphoria. It cheekily nods to Kylie Minogue‘s 2001 mega hit “Can’t Get You Out of My Head“, but flips it into something completely fresh. The lyrics explore the push and pull of longing, memories, and the kind of connection that lingers like a melody you just can’t shake: “Let the night synchronize with our breathing / I can hear you so loud, oh I need your love.” The record was co-produced by HYPATON and Henri PFR, who first connected via WhatsApp and later met in Ibiza this spring. What was supposed to be a quick polish session turned into a full-blown creative spark. Norma Jean Martine, known for her massive vocal and songwriting work on hits like Ofenbach‘s “Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes” and “Overdrive” (with a combined total of around 1 billion streams), as well as her involvement in tracks by Alok, Steve Aoki, Jax Jones, Zoe Wee and others, also played a key role in the Ibiza session. “Outta My Head” marks the next step in HYPATON‘s meteoric rise as one of electronic music’s most exciting new faces. His Warner debut “Feeling Good” (with David Guetta) has racked up nearly 50 million streams. Club anthem “Bang Bang” and his recent single “Lungs” with Agatino Romero have shown off his versatility and creative evolution.
“As soon as Henri and I listened to the track together, we realized: it didn’t need more. Sometimes, less is more. With Norma Jean Martine, we met at a writing camp hosted by David Guetta in LA last year. Afterwards, she sent me some tracks and I was blown away. That voice! And then we found out she’s half Italian – the connection was instant.
I’ve got so much music ready that I could already fill next year’s calendar, including more fresh collabs with mentor David Guetta. Those earlier reworks helped me break through on social media, but what I enjoy most right now is writing original tracks – with my own sound and energy.” – HYPATON
“‘Outta My Head‘ is a track I’m so proud of – blending that classic dance-floor energy with a touch of nostalgia. It’s been amazing collaborating with Hypaton, David Guetta‘s latest signing, and Henri PFR from Belgium to bring this to life. There’s a subtle nod to Kylie in there, but with a fresh twist. It’s all about that feeling of being stuck on someone you just can’t shake – I’ve been there.” – Norma Jean Martine
“The moment we played the first version, we knew it had something special. It just clicked. So proud of how this one turned out.” – Henri PFR
HYPATON
At just 26, Italian producer phenomenon HYPATON (real name: Giorgio Ortenzi) is quickly becoming one of the most exciting new names in global electronic dance music. Born and raised near Rome, he started producing tracks in 2014 while studying dentistry, inspired by his cousin, the trance legend Giuseppe Ottaviani. His breakthrough came via social media, with viral reworks of ’90s anthems. In 2023, his reimagining of La Bouche‘s “Be My Lover” amassed over 300 million streams, catching the attention of David Guetta in the process. The two teamed up for “Feeling Good“, and Guetta brought HYPATON into his Ushuaïa Ibiza residency, naming him his protegé. That same year, HYPATON delivered an official remix of BL3SS’ hit “Kisses” and dropped his first club banger “Bang Bang“. With more than 50 million streams to date, 5.4 million monthly Spotify listeners, and over 100,000 social media reposts from major names, he’s well on his way. HYPATON signed to Warner Music in 2023.
