California alternative singer-songwriter Esbie Fonte releases a new single, "Time Traveler," about the end of the world.
Fonte says of the track, 'Time Traveler' explores an imaginary future in reaction to technological fixation, vanity, and human greed. The chorus, 'Don't cry wolf' is metaphorically responding to a crying and regretful society as the earth reaches destruction."
Fonte's music merges dark soundscapes with socio-political critiques to create what she calls a "modern-day grungy '50s housewife" sound. In haunted tones, Fonte warns humanity about the consequences of our actions: "Laughing gas and puddles of masks / Stevie Ray Vaughan and the shots that he asked."
