Spotted: The new trailer for HBO's upcoming Gossip Girl reboot.
Almost a decade after the original Gossip Girl series left the air (and an undeniable legacy in teen drama), we're officially back on the Upper East Side. The trailer, which boasts a perfect utilization of Frank Ocean's "Super Rich Kids," already has the Internet in a frenzy. Watch it below.
Like its predecessor, the new Gossip Girl centers around a group of wealthy, private school teenagers. This time, the cast includes Emily Alyn Lind, Eli Brown, Whitney Peak, Thomas Doherty, Jordan Alexander, and — as if this wasn't enough nostalgia for you already — Rookie Magazine founder Tavi Gevinson. Of course, no Gossip Girl spinoff would be complete without the return of Kristen Bell as the titular, omnipresent voice.
The trailer has all the major tenets of Gossip Girl: The Met stairs, lots of making out, underage drinking, high fashion, oh my! It'll be interesting to see how the reboot utilizes modern social media. I'm betting someone starts an OnlyFans.
