Music is always changing but few singers have endured with such grace, relevance, and power as EGOT-winner Barbra Streisand. At 83 years old, the legendary singer, actress, and activist is making headlines once again. This time, she’s unveiling a brand-new album—The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two. It’s dropping June 27, 2025, and is destined to be the defining musical release of the year because it brings together a breathtaking lineup of legendary and contemporary artists.

This announcement arrives at a time when nostalgia is thriving, cross-generational collaboration is on the rise, and audiences are seeking authenticity in art. Streisand delivers all that and more—reminding us why, after six decades, she remains one of the most important voices in popular culture.

A Legacy in Duets

A little more than a decade after the release of the Grammy-nominated album Partners in 2014, Streisand returns to the duet format with a renewed sense of energy and ambition. The Secret of Life: Partners, Volume Two is not merely a sequel, but a vibrant exploration of musical partnerships that span genres, generations, and vocal styles.

The album is a stunning showcase of Streisand’s unrivaled vocal range and her ability to create chemistry with an incredibly diverse group of artists. Whether she’s harmonizing with the timeless Paul McCartney, sharing a moment of reflection with folk legend Bob Dylan, or blending her powerful voice with the dynamic range of modern stars like Ariana Grande, Sam Smith, and Hozier, proving that her artistry knows no bounds.

Lead Single: A Soulful Rendition with Hozier

The first taste of the album came with a new version of “The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face,” a duet with Irish singer-songwriter Hozier. Their rendition breathes fresh life into the classic track, with Hozier’s soulful tones blending exquisitely with Streisand’s timeless voice.

“To be asked to join her on a duet was a huge honour and came as a wonderful and welcome surprise…It is, to me, one of the most beautiful love songs ever written. Like so many, I was deeply saddened to hear of her recent passing. Along with the honour I have to sing on this record with Barbra, I hope this duet offers something of a gesture to Roberta Flack’s incredible legacy.”  Hozier speaking to RTE on the collaboration.

An Anthem for Unity

One of the most anticipated tracks, “One Heart, One Voice,” brings together Barbra Streisand, Mariah Carey, and Ariana Grande in a stunning vocal powerhouse moment. It’s far more than a collab—it’s a multigenerational message of unity, strength, and the enduring power of music.
