Aaron Beri recently dropped a new single, "What If I Do." Featuring Audius Mtawarira.
The song narrates the complexities of a suffocating relationship and how the protagonist finds relief on the dance floor, where he forgets his emotional turmoil and loses himself in a world of sound and movement.
Aaron Beri is an up-and-coming pop star based in Australia. Serendipity played a big part in his love for music. By accident, he came across his mother's record collection, made up of Michael Jackson, Aerosmith, and Prince. Bits and pieces of all three artists, along with others, found their way into Beri's sound.
As a teenager living in England, Aaron was scouted by a top modeling agency and quickly began traveling the world as an international model at the age of 16. As thrilling as the life of an international model appears to be, it somehow left Beri feeling unsatisfied. So he turned to his music. With confidence in his sound and style, music immediately filled the interior void.
"What If I Do" opens with whirling synths and a powerful rhythm. The tune blends flavors of electro-pop, R&B, and trap into music shimmering with smooth energy. Beri's voice, attended by various filtering effects, reflects a creamy texture with filaments of urgency. Mtawarira's provocative tones imbue the tune with a velvety sensuality, wicked and seductive.
