How I Stopped Paying For Ebooks

I've always loved escaping into a good novel, but as my paperback library grew, my bank account shrunk. While I pinched pennies everywhere else in my budget, I always had an excuse to overspend on literature. I did a little research and found out that publishers often give away free ebooks from some of my favorite authors, but the deals had always expired before I found them. Fortunately, I discovered a free service called BookBub that compiles ebook deals based on my interests and condenses them into a simple daily email, so I can stock my ebook library without emptying my bank account.

BookBub is a customizable ebook recommendation engine that caters to reader's preferences. All you need to sign up is an email address. Once you've joined and entered your genre, author, and e-reader preferences, BookBub will start recommending ebooks and linking you to downloads for your device (Amazon Kindle, Apple iBooks, Barnes & Noble nook, Google Play or Kobo).

BookBub always has new titles in their online library, and their emails keep me updated on their latest additions. Yesterday, I downloaded Only Time Will Tell by Jeffrey Archer. I hadn't read any of his books before, but since it was free and well-reviewed, I decided to check it out. (I'm halfway through and loving it so far.) BookBub has been a great way for me to discover new authors and explore different genres – when the books are free, there is nothing to lose.

When I met my friends for coffee last week, I had lots of new books to recommend and, more importantly, a new service. BookBub introduced to a lot of great books so far -- from mysterious thrillers to best-selling memoirs. I'm excited to get more ebook recommendations and glad my book addiction no longer breaks the bank.
