West Coast singer-songwriter and performer Kat Hamilton introduces "Medicine Line," a song from her forthcoming album Recovery Songs, slated to drop early 2020.
After five years as the front woman for Manic Pixi, Hamilton reinvented herself, emerging with an innovative sound blending alt-rock, Americana, pop, and emo sounds. "Medicine Line" bares the intimate scars of struggling with addiction. Hamilton divulges, "I had just gotten out of a recovery center and these songs became my way of coping. "The music was inspired by being knocked down and getting back up. Going to the darkest places in yourself and in life, and managing to make it through."
