Peyton List Don't Cry

If you haven't heard of Peyton List, she's an actress, model—and now singer.

Three days ago, she dropped her debut music video for "Don't Cry," featuring the rapper Cannon. Most know Peyton List for her roles as Emma Ross on Disney's Jessie and the spin-off Bunk'd. In the Diary of a Wimpy Kid films, she was Holly Hills, and now she's playing the role of Tory in Cobra Kai.

In 2018, Peyton released her first single, "Liar Liar," an electro-pop anthem that marked her initial move beyond Disney's wholesome umbrella. With "Don't Cry," List takes on the role of creative director for her first music video, playing a stir-crazy housewife in flashy period outfits, kaleidoscopic wigs, and Angelina Jolie-like lips.

"Don't Cry" opens on streaming synths that flow into a smooth pop melody and a captivating rhythm. List's voice sounds like cashmere, complementing Cannon's tight flow.
