ELI Teams Up with Angel Haze for New Single & Visual “Another Day”
Multidisciplinary artist Eli Romanova, known as ELI, launched her music career in 2021 with the bold single, “Stuck in My Bed,” and a debut video directed by Jimmy Giannopoulos (The Birthday Cake, Alone at Night, Hickey Girl), featuring rising actress Esther McGregor (BABYGIRL, The Room Next Door, We Were Liars). Since then, ELI has released a series of dynamic singles that highlight her genre-defying sound and emotionally raw lyricism. In 2025, she gained wider acclaim with “Beautiful Tears,” a standout feature with Angel Haze that drew industry attention for its emotional intensity and fearless creativity. That same year, Eli expanded her sound with a collection of experimental tracks co-produced alongside Grammy-winning producer TROY NōKA (Frank Ocean, Doja Cat, Miguel, Ciara), accompanied by visually rich music videos featuring writer Orion Carloto, artist/model Langley Fox Hemingway, and actress Zola Ivy Murphy. Today, ELI flips the script with her latest single, “Another Day”—a fierce plunge into punk rock shaped with creative guidance from the boundary-pushing Angel Haze. Gritty guitars slash through the track, while ELI’s raw, unapologetic vocals roar with rebellious energy and defiant fire. The release is accompanied by a vibrant, visually charged music video showcasing ELI’s seductive androgyny alongside her riot grrrl crew. Packed with raw energy and unstoppable attitude, it delivers a powerful punch in under two minutes. With “Another Day”, ELI asserts herself as a fearless creative force, breaking boundaries and blazing her own path.
“Another Day” is out July 11th on all DSPs.
When asked a few questions about the track, this is what Eli had to say:
The video for “Another Day” is packed with raw energy and riot grrrl attitude. What was the vision behind the visuals, and how did you want it to complement the intensity of the track?
The vision for “Another Day” was to make something that felt as raw and volatile as the track itself. The song is all tension—rage, vulnerability, release—and I wanted the visuals to physically embody that. We leaned into riot grrrl energy because it’s loud, it’s messy, it’s unapologetic—just like the emotional state the song was born from. The video is stripped down and urgent. There’s no gloss or perfection—just movement, sweat, and impulse. I wanted the camera to feel like it was chasing something, like it could barely keep up. That kind of instability felt right for the story I was telling. It’s less about a polished narrative and more about capturing a feeling in real time—like a tantrum you can’t take back. Every frame was meant to echo the track’s intensity and that overwhelming need to break free.
There’s a striking blend of androgyny and rebellion in the styling and casting. How important was it for you to showcase that kind of visual identity—and how does it reflect your own creative expression?
Androgyny isn’t just a visual choice for me—it’s who I am. So when I create, that naturally comes through in the styling, the casting, the overall tone. It’s about more than rebellion—it’s about truth. I’ve always been drawn to the in-between, to spaces that feel fluid and undefined. That’s where I feel most expressive. So this visual identity isn’t just a reflection of my creative world—it’s a reflection of me.
You collaborated with Angel Haze creatively on the single—did their influence extend to the visual direction as well? How did that collaborative process shape the final product?
Angel has an incredible ability to cut straight to the core of a song. Their fearless intensity pushed me to places I hadn’t been before—like making me scream on the track, something I’d never done until then. That raw energy naturally shaped the visual direction as well, inspiring me to take bigger creative risks and embrace a more unapologetic, honest expression. The whole process felt like breaking through limits together, making the final product bigger, bolder, and more alive than I ever imagined. Beyond all that, Angel is a close friend and one of the most talented artists I know. It’s truly a great pleasure and joy to work with her. And just wait—two more singles, co-produced with Angel Haze and Troy Nōka (Doja Cat, Frank Ocean), are coming soon, paired with some crazy visuals. It’s going to be an absolute bomb.
