Based in Los Angeles, Moon got her start in Toronto, where she sold more than 10,000 copies of DIY records, attracting the attention of A&M/Universal Records. The label soon signed her to a deal which resulted in her self-titled debut, followed by STIR and Doll Machine on EMI Music. With her eight released albums, Moon has collected four CASBY nominations, including Best Album of the Year, Best Single of the Year, Best Video, and Best Artist. She's shared the stage with The Offspring, Quiet Riot, Marilyn Manson, and Pink Floyd.

Moon's music has been featured in television shows and films including Californication, Dexter, Bounty Hunters,Walking the Dead directed by Melanie Ansley, and Last Gasp starring Robert Patrick.

Waste Your Time

"Waste Your Time" blends elements of pop, alt-rock and even a touch of classic electronic à la Depeche Mode. The song opens with rippling synths followed by Moon's new wave-flavored voice, shimmering with sensual timbres and stylish resonance.

When the rhythm kicks in, the tune assumes a chic café electric ambience, gracious, tight, and dreamy with gleaming textures atop syncopated percussive effects. I love the whistling accents parading across the soundscape, infusing the music with a Spaghetti-Western nonchalance.

Moon's versatility, her ability to move from genre to genre with aplomb, along with her gift for merging various harmonic elements into smooth, polished tunes packed with visceral energy sets her apart from the run-of-the-mill artists so prevalent in contemporary music.
