PREMIERE | TWO32 "On My Way"

Hood R&B upstart's latest visual tells a tale of forbidden lust

EXCLUSIVE

The prophet "Yeezus of The Chi" once proposed the question "Why everything that's 'sposed to be bad makes me feel so good?" There's just something invigorating about indulging in things that aren't meant for us. Whether it be a fatty dessert, a few adult beverages, or the embrace of another person's significant other. The latter is the plot to the latest mini-cinematic epic "On My Way" from newcomer TWO32.

Hailing from Queens, NY, TWO was more noted for his rapping ability. His singing was just an added bonus to his sharp lyricism which was mainly reserved for his hooks. After being told by various people that he's just as good a singer as he is a rapper, he decided to make the transition. TWO set SoundCloud on fire with his single "Nightlife"produced by Queen's Native DMC Tha Lync. As of today, "Nightlife" is on the cusp of hitting 100k listens with no sort of label backing.

TWO released his debut EP "F88E8E (Sweet Pink)" at the top of 2017. This 5 track EP is an 18 minute trip into the mind and heart of a young man trying to chase his dreams without letting anything or anyone stand in his way. Over sweeping eerie production, TWO lays out his plans to take over the world all while staying in the pocket with vocals that can go up against any Trap R&B singer making waves right now. The confidence and cockiness are in abundance, but with a pen and a voice like his, TWO can definitely back up anything that he says....or sings.

"On My Way" was the first single released from "F88E8E (Sweet Pink)" and became an instant standout. So much to the point that a local act tried to flip the song and pass it off as their own. Imitators be damned, "On My Way" is a braggadocios ballad encouraging a special young lady to give TWO a ring for a late night rendezvous when her man isn't around.

The video directed by Chris Omar starts off with TWO and Lync in the studio working. Low lights and loud set the mood for the session that is giving birth to the song that acts as the backdrop to our story. After the completion of the song, TWO receives a text message from a vixen requesting his presence while her boyfriend isn't there. TWO obliges, Lync gives him a lift, and then.....Well, ....you're just going to have to watch the video for yourself.

What TWO lacks as far as age goes, he more than compensates for it with his talent, ambition, and his vision. He's always working and never deterred from his goal to be one of the hottest acts to emerge in music in 2018. With an already brilliant body of work, and now with a visual to set the tone for what we can expect from him when it comes to videos, he is well "on his way" to accomplish said goal. " F88E8E (Sweet Pink)" is now available on iTunes & Spotify.
