R5 get a bit romantic on their new single Let's Not Be Alone Tonight, a rowdy high-powered uptempo love-strewn anthem. Following an exclusive Sirius XM Hits 1 premiere over the Valentine's Day weekend, the track now gets an Instagram-filtered lyric video, which dropped on Mon. (Feb. 16). Featuring footage of the band ripping into the song's boisterous hook, the clip (below) is splashed with greys and reds—somehow taking the music up a few notches.

Ellington Ratliff, Ross, Riker, Rocky, and Rydel Lynch are gearing up for the release of their next album, which is "getting closer each day." The new yet-untitled disc follows 2013′s Louder and 2014′s Heart Made Up on You EP and was originally slated for a September 2014 release (ultimately pushed into the new year).

Pop-rock band R5 get into the Valentine's Day spirit with their rowdy new single Let's Not Be Alone Tonight. While an early edit of the track leaked some time ago, the final version premiered on Sirius XM Hits 1 on Fri. (Feb. 13), to spin exclusively the entire weekend. Band members Ellington Ratliff, Ross, Riker, Rocky, and Rydel Lynch keep tugging at their boisterous rhythms and hooks that fans are used to on the new song, but give in to even more romanticism and youthful exuberance. The track goes up on iTunes Monday, Feb. 16.

Band mate Riker wrote about the new jam on Tumblr:

"I know it was leaked a while ago, however that was not the final version of the song. We still had somethings to finish and make better on it. So with that being said, I hope you love it! Now it premieres THIS Friday, so next Monday, let’s all just go absolutely crazy and request Let’s Not Be Alone Tonight to all your local radio stations. I mean just go insane! Tweet, text, call, email, whatever it is let’s just drive these radio stations mad haha. I think we can really do this and take it over the top :D So I look to you, my fellow family members, lets ROCK THIS! We may be the underdogs a bit but let’s show em what we got!"

Meanwhile, he notes that the "album is getting closer each day and I cannot wait to see everyone on tour this year!" R5's hotly-anticipated new record follows 2013's Louder and 2014's Heart Made Up on You EP and was originally planned for a fall 2014 release but was pushed to the new year.

The deal has been set in stone. Former Disney star and Hollywood Records artist, Selena Gomez, is now signed to Interscope Records.

Gomez leaves label mates such as old pals, Demi Lovato and R5, behind, as she joins Lady Gaga, Maroon 5, and Eminem.

The Come & Get It singer broke the exciting news on Instagram and Twitter yesterday (Dec. 13). Gomez is captured in a photo with her recording contract with a huge grin on her face!

Gomez' recent album For You is really just a compilation of remixed greatest hits, along with her new heart-felt single The Heart Wants It Wants, and TMI-track Do It. Hopefully, her new record deal means that the new music is coming in early 2015.

R5 really wants to see you smile!

The band performed their new single, "Smile," on Good Morning America late last week, and said that the song reflects their personalities because they are constantly smiling.

They also talked about what it was like performing at the AMAs pre-show.

Despite performing just one song, the boys attracted an audience of fans who had waited overnight just to be there. The R5 family sure is super dedicated. Way to go, R5 fam!

Watch the performance, right here on Popdust.

In the summer, R5 released their second EP titled, Heart Made Up On You. Their second full-length studio album will be released sometime in 2015. However, the release date is still currently unknown.

R5's second full-length studio album may be pushed back for a bit, but have no fear, they just dropped their new single.

In the summer, R5 released their second EP Heart Made Up On You, where the band took a turn in sound change compared to their debut album Louder.

On Saturday (Nov. 15) the band premiered their new single Smile on Radio Disney. Yesterday (Nov. 16), Smile made its debut in Canada and America's iTunes, as well as Spotify.

If you aren't a big fan of R5's sound change, you might want to pass on this one. Presumably, the new sound change is where the second full-length studio set is heading. It's possible that all of the tracks from the Heart Made Up On You EP will make an appearance.

The latest single Smile will have you smiling. Fun fact, a video has also surfaced the internet! There's no confirmation if it's the actual music video or just a concert footage video for the fans. The concert footage was filmed in Teatro Opera, Buenos Aires.

R5's new Heart Made Up On You EP made its debut on digital music distributors late July.

The new EP-titled single, Heart Made Up On You, finally gets its own music video. This music video is not something you would expect from the band. The five members include four siblings—Ross, Rocky, Riker, and Rydel Lynch—along with best pal Ellington Ratliff. Sticking to the song's concept, director Thom Glunt delivers the on-screen story, perfectly.

R5 strays away from Los Angeles, California. And sorry, it wasn't filmed at Disneyland. The band reveals to Popstar! Magazine, they filmed the music video in Taft, California—with a population of 8,000. These days it's hard to find music videos that portray the song's message. However, the band managed to do the job.

R5 gets involved in a heist with Ross' up-to-no-good girlfriend and her father. The video kicks off with a man sitting at the diner with Riker, Rydel, and Ratliff. "If you screw this up and things go bad, you go down with us," he says to them. Meanwhile, Ross and his girlfriend are at another table and their hands are entangled. When they leave the diner, that's when the action kicks off.

When the crew leaves the diner, the band sets up their stage to perform the song on a small street. Surprisingly, in the small and slightly abandoned town, a crowd shows up to cheer them on. Meanwhile, directly across from the stage is the jewelry store. Ross' girlfriend and her father take charge to enter the store quietly, making sure they don't get caught. As she's on the lookout for her father, R5 is the distraction, and the father is left stealing jewelry. Eventually the cops catch on and catch him.

The end of the video leaves us with the 'bad-girl' vibe we felt from Ross' girlfriend throughout the entire video. They lean in for a nice long kiss only to find out that she handcuffs his hand to the stirring wheel, grabs the bag, and walks away from the car with a big smirk on her face. Aww, all that work for nothing!
