This observance recognizes the diverse cultures, rich histories, and contributions of Americans with Latin American ancestry. That includes Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. It's a time to reflect on the audacious impact Latinx individuals have had on American society — from arts and science to politics and pop culture.
