rhonj season 7 trailer proves nothing ever really changes when it comes to these Jersey lunatics

The Real Housewives of New Jersey are back.

And then some.

Melissa Gorga kicks off the rhonj season 7 trailer by vowing, "Its been a while. Things are changing in Jersey.”

And, initially it looks like things ARE changing.

Gorga and arch enemy/sister-in-law, Teresa Giudice are even pretending to play nice.

Perhaps, Teresa’s stint in prison has allowed her some time for self reflection, mellowed her out, made her reassess her priorities in life?

Perhaps, hell has frozen over?

"I'm just gonna leave the past in the past and look to a brighter future,” Giudice declares.

Husband Joe heads off to jail to serve his 41-month sentence, leaving Teresa and the girls to hold the fort without him.

Which, despite the inevitable tears, doesn’t seem like too terrifying a prospect—for the daughters at least.

"He needs to go so that he can get his shit together," oldest daughter Gia tells her mom.

In that fashion, we get to see Joe still calling women “bitches”—which is great when you consider he’s a father to four daughters.

Teresa swears she’s going to keep a tighter reign on things to prevent any future felony-earning shenanigans from occurring.

So, yeah, we’ll see how that pans out.

Meanwhile, Teresa’s not the only housewife returning to the fold.

Jacqueline Laurita is back, after taking an absence of leave for season 6.

And, she’s not even pretending to be mellowed-out or wiser.

She goes straight at it with Melissa and Teresa during a typical drama and alcohol fueled dinner party.

Then there’s the new Housewives—Siggy Flicker and Dolores Catania.

In typical RHONJ fashion, the Housewives engage in an Italian-off at some point—with each side attempting to prove they are more Italian than the other.

Apparently, the crux of your Italianess, according to Giudice and Laurita, is how long and how far you’re willing to carry out a feud.

And, how you will stick by someone no matter what.

They lay judgement on the newbies.

Siggy fails to make the Italian cut as per Laurita’s reckoning.

But Dolores gets the Giudice 100% Italian stamp of approval.

“[Siggy’s] not even 1/16th Italian," Jacqueline sniffs.

"Dolores and I are cut from the same cloth," Teresa opines. "We're true Italians. We'll stick with you until the end."

Whether you like it or not presumably.

Showing off her Italianess to great effect, at one point Teresa rants about how “evil” someone is—perhaps Laurita, who called her a “criminal” during their dinner party showdown.

“She’s an evil person, like Osama bin Laden," Teresa tells the camera.

Sorry Melissa, but underneath the surface, absolutely nothing is changing in Jersey.

Teresa Giudice Public Debut Since Prison

Teresa Giudice stepped out onto the red carpet last night for the first time since leaving prison.

She was attending the opening of her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga's boutique, Envy, and took along her daughter Gia for company. Melissa also enjoyed the support of Real Housewives of New Jersey co-stars Jacqueline Laurita and Kathy Wakile as well as her proud husband Joe Gorga for the opening of the store in New Jersey.

Melissa Gorga and her devoted husband Joe looking stunning at the opening of her boutique.

As previously reported by Popdust, 43 year old Teresa spent 11 months wearing orange at the Danbury Federal Correctional Institution and was released on December 23. She celebrated her Christmas release  with her brother Joe and their families and of course the ever present Bravo cameras.

Danielle Staub Breaks Silence On Teresa Giudice Prison Sentence

Trey's conviction for fraud doesn't seem to have had any effect on her sense of style, she glammed up for her public debut in gold and black snakeskin, knee high boots and a fur coat.  The Fabulicious cookbooks author has certainly passed on her look to Gia too—the 15 year old wore a fur jacket, cropped top, mini skirt and knee high boots.

The ex-con reality star told E!News;

"I'm feeling great.  I'm happy to be here to support my brother and my sister-in-law Melissa for the grand opening of her boutique Envy.

Melissa has great style and you see her on the red carpet and you see her being photographed, so, and you can tell from the photographs that she has great style."

Bearing in mind her history of trying to undermine Melissa and the stormy relationship between her and her brother, you have to wonder at Teresa's next comment when asked about whether her daughter Gia turns to her for style tips;

"My background is fashion.  I went to school for fashion.  I used to work at Macy's Herald Square in the buying office and I also was on the vendor side.  I worked for Nine West and Calvin Klein handbags. So, I have a fashion background. She has her mommy"

Meowwww!

How better to get in a little dig at Melissa's fashion store opening than by reminding everyone that she has a background in fashion and is way more experienced than her sister-in-law?

Joe Giudice Denies Alleged Atlantic City Hook-Up

A leopard (print) doesn't change it's spots and our bet is we haven't seen the last of Teresa's campaign to make Melissa look as bad as she can at every opportunity.  She better be careful though, she's going to need her family around her in March when husband Joe checks in for his 41 month prison sentence.

Teresa Giudice’s first post-jail Christmas was the low-key affair you would expect from the notoriously private and understated Real Housewives of New Jersey star—just Teresa, close family, and reality TV cameras, natch.

As Popdust previously reported, the 43-year-old was sentenced to 15 months in prison last October, for multiple counts of fraud—she was released last week after serving nearly a year behind bars in a Federal facility.

Naturally, she was eager to get straight back to her family—and capitalize on the inevitably tearful reunion with husband Joe Giudice, and daughters, Gia, Gabriella, Milania and Audriana.

People magazine had the exclusive on their holiday celebrations, which included a traditional Italian meal cooked by Teresa’s sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, at her and Joe Gorga’s New Jersey home.

"It was a nice evening, they kept it small with just the the Gorgas and the Giudices," Teresa a “source” tells People. "[They] wanted it to be a quiet celebration for family. Melissa cooked a traditional Italian Christmas Eve meal of seven fishes."

Although, in true Teresa style, reality cameras were there to document every minute of the touching and intimate family get together, in decidedly uncharacteristically Giudice fashion it was all drama free, apparently.

"It was the first time Melissa and Teresa have seen each other in over a year," Teresa the “source” claims. "The holiday spirit was definitely in the air. Everyone got along well, exchanged gifts. Very happy night.

"Melissa and Teresa had a lot to discuss but both wanted to figure out how they can truly make it work.”

"Everything that happened with Teresa going away made both women realize that there are more important things in life than their old feud," Teresa another "source" told Us Weekly.

"Melissa and Joe [Gorga] reached out to Joe Giudice … and all four of them are on the best terms they've ever been on."

Truly heartwarming.

Meanwhile, Teresa and Joe are presumably making the most of their time together before he heads to jail himself in March.

As previously reported,  Joe, 43, was sentenced to 41 months, plus 12 months on an additional count, to be served concurrently.

He’ll also get two years probation and will have to pay $414,000 to Wells Fargo bank, plus $10,000 in fines. In addition, he’s facing the possibility of deportation when he finishes his sentence.

Judge Esther Salas agreed to the couple serving their sentences consecutively so there would always be one parent taking care of their four daughters.

Teresa Giudice has got less than six months left of her 15 month prison sentence to serve and negotiations are hotting up for the next season of Real Housewives of New Jersey to feature her release.

According to Radar Online, Giudice recently signed a deal with the feds to allow 25% of her Bravo paychecks to go towards paying off her $400,000 restitution.  It is expected that she will write a book detailing her experiences in jail to raise a bit more cash to pay her debts.

An insider says;

“Teresa is looking forward to getting out, obviously. Knowing there are creditors waiting to collect the outstanding $13.5 million debt, she is already trying to line up jobs now. Since the biggest paycheck would come from the RHONJ, Teresa wants to go back to the show.”

Bravo had been playing it cool while they decided whether or not to let her back in their Housewives' family—but they finally appear to have come to the conclusion that they need her on board. Radar report that recording will be delayed until the Fall so that her release can be filmed for the show—she would then be included in the second half of the season.  The source admitted;

"Without Teresa there just isn’t a lot going on with the women. With her on board, cameras would film Joe’s final days with the family as he prepares to begin his 41 month prison sentence.”

However Teresa may have to do a little persuading with the probation department as they have to sign off on whatever employment she chooses, and she is a little worried her career choice won't be acceptable—although quite how else they would expect her to earn a living is beyond us.

When she gets out in December, she will be on probation while her husband Joe Giudice will begin serving his sentence.  Their mansion is currently in foreclosure and the beach house is due to be auctioned off soon to pay the debts, furniture and a 2005 Maserati have also been seized.

Teresa is also going to have to deal with the countless claims of Joe's cheating while she has been away—will prison have given her a new approach to dealing with her douchebag husband, or will she follow her previous custom of sticking her head in the sand and standing by her man no matter what?

Joe Giudice is the kind of husband you can only dream about.

Not only was he the instigator of the multi-million dollar fraud that has landed them both with a jail term, he was caught on camera on a Real Housewives of New Jersey episode allegedly speaking to his mistress and calling wife Teresa Guidice a cunt. (Not sure if that was the mistress Jacqueline Laurita said Teresa told her she caught him having sex on his desk with or a different one.)

Now he’s playing house husband to their four daughters while Teresa serves out her jail term and has been forced to deny claims that he cheated on Teresa just four weeks before she checked into prison.

Earlier this week InTouch claimed he had slept with a woman named Jamie Jackson during an alleged hotel tryst in Atlantic City. The cover story reported that there was video footage of them making out at dinner and that they then disappeared together afterwards for about 20 minutes. They claimed she emerged “buttoning her blouse and crying hysterically”.

Giudice refuted the claims and told US Weekly;

"No, I did not flirt with her. I did not make out with her, nothing happened between us. Everything InTouch is saying that happened between us are lies."

At least Teresa, who’ll be wearing orange until Christmas, will know were Juicy is when he begins his 41 month sentence when she gets out.

Still, Joe has some competition to be Top Man Bitch.

Caroline Manzo is not holding back when it comes to her feud with sister Dina Manzo.

The Real Housewives of New Jersey star appeared on Watch What Happens Live on Monday night, and was close to tears as she spoke about Dina's behavior towards the family, including brother Chris Laurita and his wife Jacqueline.

"Over the past four years, five years, Dina has never attended any family function at all. We've got nieces and nephews that are 3, 4, 5 years old, 9 months old, that she doesn't know," the Manzo'd With Children star told Andy Cohen. "She didn't go to my brother Jamie's wedding. Babies were born, baptisms, graduations, birthdays..."

When Andy suggested Dina was interested in making up with Caroline so they could do a cooking show together, Caroline was having none of it.

"No. I'm a package deal. I come with everybody [in our family]. You may have issues with somebody, but you don't dismiss someone in your family."

The matriarch went on to reveal Dina shockingly told her brother Chris he had to choose between her and his wife.

"I want you to understand the gravity of that: This is a man that has a son that has special needs, and you're saying for him to leave his wife in order for you to have a relationship with [him]," Caroline said, adding that Dina just "walked past" Nicholas at a party without even acknowledging him. "How you cannot take that baby and hug him and tell him you love him, I don't understand that. I have to say I don't want the cooking show. I don't care about TV, I don't care what the papers say. I want my family back. And I have done everything in my power to make that happen. So have the rest of us. Dina has to grow up."

Meanwhile, Dina responded on Twitter by saying "I spend EVERY holiday with family just not THAT click. There's 11 of us and my parents. I'm very different then them. I'm the white sheep. I wish you all knew some of my other beautiful siblings. I thank God for them. Nite Nite."

The white sheep? Geez, full of yourself much, Dina?
