How Factor Helped Me Get Back On Track This Back To School Season

It's about to be the busiest time of the year for every mom out there - back-to-school season. My kid is about to go into 5th grade and we've definitely had a fun and indulgent summer, so I'm happy to be getting back into a routine.

To be honest, after all the takeout, pizza and Mac n cheese we've been eating all summer, I've been feeling sluggish and like my diet needs a refresh. I just know I won't have time to focus too much on meal prep and shopping for healthy ingredients.

I was ranting to a fellow mom about the struggles of eating healthy and she recommended I try Factor. Factor is a service that sends healthy meals to your doorstep that require zero prep!

Sounds amazing, but is it really that healthy? I wasn't looking for your typical microwave dinners. I wanted the food to really be nutritious, not just convenient. My friend reassured me that all the ingredients Factor uses are always fresh - they never freeze anything.

That evening I went on Factor's site to do my own research. I read that Factor's meals are all free of hormones, antibiotics, refined sugars and GMOs. Plus, their meals are designed by both chefs and dieticians to ensure they are tasty and packed with science-backed nutritional quality.

I decided to sign up and try it out since I could always cancel the subscription if I didn't like it. I went with the 12 meals per week plan, which was just $9 per meal. From there, I could choose whatever meals I wanted.

I liked how transparent Factor is - they provide the nutritional information for every single meal on their site.

A few days later the box of Factormeals arrived at my doorstep, right on time. Would they be as tasty as they looked? Any time I ever heated up pre-made meals in the past they always tasted super bland.

After cleaning up the mess the kids left that morning and making them some peanut butter sandwiches, I was ready for my lunch. First up was the Chicken Marsala with Mashed Cauliflower. All I had to do was heat it in the microwave for a few minutes and it was ready to eat. It was so fast and delicious! The flavor of the Marsala wine sauce and herbs? Mmm.

I helped the kids with homework and made their dinner, and then it was time for my own. I heated up the Spicy Turkey Poblano Bowl which was also delicious and satisfying. It has a spicy kick but not too much - the mix of jalapeños and poblano peppers with sour cream was the perfect combination.

The rest of my Factor meals that week were equally as yummy. I think the Sweet Potato Satay with Coconut Rice was my favorite. By the end of the week, I noticed that not only were the meals tasty and convenient, but they were filling and gave me tons of energy. I managed to vacuum twice in one week! Factor's meals are really nutritious and nourishing.

I've been with Factor for a few weeks now and it's been life-changing. I don't have to think about what I'm going to eat for the day now - Factor has me covered. And the meals are always ready to heat 'n' eat whenever I'm ready. Plus, I have tons of energy (which is needed to keep up with the kids!).

I've gotten so much time back in my week, I'm able to get everything done around the house and look after the family and myself with Factor. If you're looking to get your diet back on track but don't have much time, I'd highly recommend Factor. Check them out, you won't regret it.
