Why I Still Love Using Aaptiv For My Workouts

Why I Still Love Using Aaptiv For My Workouts

Working out this past year has been a struggle, to say the least.

I gave myself a lot of leeway and "me time" but it got to the point where relaxing wasn't actually making me feel good. I missed the endorphin rush of a good workout, the sense of accomplishment, and even the detox of a good sweat session.

Aaptiv has become my fitness savior. I almost gave up on home workouts before finding Aaptiv, I just hated the ads on YouTube videos and the influencer ones felt too unattainable. This app takes audio and video workouts to the next level with coaches that really push you and incorporates music in a way that makes me feel like I'm back in the gym.

It's been about 6 months since I started using Aaptiv and have never been so on top of my workouts. Even if I have just 5 minutes there's a workout I can do and I'm not making excuses the way I used to.

Here are 3 reasons why I love using Aaptiv:

Motivating

I am the first person to cheer on someone else but… when it comes to rallying for a workout myself, I'm not quite there. Especially when I'm on my own at home trying to push through those squat sets - it's just too easy to quit. That is until I started using Aaptiv.

Aaptiv's coaches don't just instruct me on the exercises but they're also training me through the mental hurdles of fitness. It takes a lot to push your body and they strike the right cord between motivating me to do better but also listening to my limits. I don't feel bad about letting up on my reps because I know I'm doing my best and when I am crushing set after set, I'm so proud of myself.

Flexible Workouts

While they do have great workouts for stretching that's not what I mean. Aaptiv is great for me because the workouts can be done with or without equipment and are anywhere between 3 minutes to 65 minutes. So I've been easily working in short strength workouts after work with the least amount of setup required. Then on the weekends, I take advantage of the long cardio sessions to really break a sweat.

Plus, as the weather has been warming up I've started to move outside and it's so easy - all I have to do is bring my phone. It turns my walk around the neighborhood into a true powerwalk (I'm working on getting it to a jog and with Aaptiv I know it's really possible).

Aaptiv listens to feedback

No app is perfect, but the great thing about Aaptiv is that they're constantly improving. They take user feedback seriously to give me the best fitness experience possible. I'm really looking forward to the rowing and boxing classes Aaptiv is bringing back- the perfect refresh to my spring workouts.

On top of all of the new updates based on user feedback, Aaptiv is bringing back hundreds of classes and adding brand new ones, too, including their 12-week marathon training program. There are so many marathon programs out there but none have the amazing community, awesome interface, and inspiring coaches that I get with Aaptiv.

Aaptiv is also making changes to the music selection. I already thought the music was good but now it's going to another level. I'll be able to pick my genre of music for any workout, which is great because I usually only choose between the pop and hip hop ones so now nothing is off the table! They're also letting users adjust the music's volume so I can get that perfect balance between coaching and jamming out.

Honestly, Aaptiv has really been there for me in my fitness journey this past year. I can honestly say if I couldn't use the app anymore I'd feel so disappointed - I can't imagine going back to working out without it. Aaptiv is the exercise app for all from the yogis, pregnant women, or uncoordinated aspiring workout pros - there's something for everyone.

Checkout Aaptiv and let them coach you off the couch and into success.
