She's also one of the first women of color to ever headline a major festival in the U.S.
The lineup for the 2020 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival has been unveiled.
Regular 'Roo-goers shouldn't be surprised to see Tame Impala and Tool closing out two of the festival's four nights. The Grand Ole Opry will host their mix of country and bluegrass, while Post Malone will be closing out Saturday. And then, there's Lizzo, a.k.a. the first woman of color to headline Bonnaroo in its 18 years in Manchester, Tennessee.

Not only is Lizzo—the mastermind behind No. 1 hit "Truth Hurts"—the first WOC to headline the festival; she's the first solo woman ever to nab one of the coveted closing performances. This is major, considering female artists are still hugely underrepresented in music festival lineups—especially non-white women. Beyoncé made history as the first black woman to headline Coachella in 2018, and while Lollapalooza has been marginally more friendly to female headliners like Lady Gaga, their lineups remain extremely white. Bonnaroo booking Lizzo as a headliner is a big, albeit overdue, step in the right direction.
This year's happy campers at Bonnaroo can also catch Miley Cyrus, Flume, Lana Del Rey, Bassnectar, Oysterhead, Vampire Weekend, and many more. The festival will take place June 11-14, and you can buy tickets here.

Chef Paul Wahlberg always knows when his brother, Donnie Wahlberg, is in town. How? A mass of fans will turn up to their Wahlburgers restaurant chain, signaling that the New Kids on the Block singer is on his way!
"I know Donnie's coming because the Blockheads come beforehand," Paul tells us. "The message gets out there, everyone comes and that unity is amazing."
Donnie and Paul teamed up with actor brother Mark Wahlberg to launch their first Wahlburgers in Massachusetts in 2011, and the business, now global, was also the focus of reality TV series, Wahlburgers.
